I shot a video feature for the Detroit Free Press about a Detroit artist turning eyesores of abandonment in the city into works of art. He hopes others will follow his lead and take pride of their surroundings and their city.

Olayami Dabls is a Detroit artist who has a studio/ gallery, Dabls African Bead Gallery on Grand River near I-96, Dabls prefers to be called storyteller and uses paint, broken mirrors & wood with his pieces. He wants Detroiters to see in his work that they should take more pride in their city. Dabls took a abandoned home & turned it from an eyesore into a work of art.
