I believe it's just Friday. I think they have burgers and other bar food the rest of the week.

PlymouthRes, thanks for the welcome. Since moving back after 20+ years I have settled in Canton, but still consider myself a "downriver rat". have you heard about the MHS all class gathering at Boomers on May 22nd? I'll be there!
Clemente's last day is Sunday. However, I heard today that they will be open Monday and Tuesday but for beverages only. It's been busy there since it was announced that they were closing in June. Often lines waiting for tables. Channel 7 had a story on it last night and the News Herald had an article on it today.

Sad, i remember going there as a kid when i lived in the northern burbs before i moved down here...
yea, I understand why Joe and Rose are ready to retire. And the place needed so many improvements. But its sad that we are losing a cool bowling alley. And I never bowled there. Always planning on doing a bowling event there but never did. Clemente's was always a popular place Monday nights after the council meetings.
Someone recently said its a new era since we lost Chiarelli's Market, in Lincoln Park since 1925, in 2009. And 2010 it was the Mellus, built 1941, and now Clemente's which has been in Lincoln Park since 1933. It was originally on Fort Park in the building where Chiarelli's Market used to be. It is now apartments that Joe Clemente owns. Paul Clemente is running for State Rep because his cousin Ed Clemente is term limited.

Good Detroit News article today: http://www.detnews.com/article/20100...-end-of-an-era
Glad to hear that Clemente's is keeping their liquor license, the oldest in Lincoln Park, that dates back to 1933. That means there is hope for a new Clemente's!
The structure of the Lincoln Park Historical site has changed.
The new URL for the Clemente's page
The museum has someone who has been updating the website.
The Clemente's photo is from the Arcadia Publishing book "Lincoln Park" too.
This particular photo was loaned to us by the Clemente photo for scanning when we did the book.
