If you read some of the comments made in the KC article, you would swear they were talking about Detroit Public Schools. The state of urban education is the real issue. Problems with public education in the inner-city are everywhere, not just Detroit, and it's been obvious for years. It's just interesting to see how it's played out in other cities.
