    We moved from Detroit when I was a kid, so I'm long out of touch and can't recognize many landmarks as easily as many of you. So sincerely pardon my ignorance, but are these photos of Cass Tech ??

    Both sides of my parents families attended there and my grandfather; Raymond R. Jared both taught chemisty and was chairman of the science department in the 30's and 40's.

    Thanks;
    Bob Jared

    I like the pictures, they are very artistic and as the cliche notes, they speak 1000 words. They are very post apocalyptic, they remind me of the photos of that town just outside the Chernobyl plant in Russia.... pripyat?

    good stuff....

    Yes Holmes. Sadly, and to the horror of thousands of proud alumni, that is Detroit Cass Technical High School, 1917-2005.

    Albert Kahn who?

    Wow, this is depressing. I swear that photo #4 is my old Quant Chem Lab just about where my station was.

    Appears to be the same spot I was standing when John Budnick raced into the classroom on November 22, 1963 to yell to everyone in the lab that JFK had been assassinated.

    The area in the background, behind the framed windows is where the sensitive quant measuring scales were kept in special cabinets.

    Truly sad.
