Makes you wonder what the state of Detroit would be had that subway been built and probably expanded on quite a bit.I haven't had a chance to really read this yet, but I just discovered the 1915 Report on Detroit street railway traffic and proposed subway.

Well, Dan Gilbert is representing that dual-curbside light rail is the best way to go, seemingly because he believes that it will create the most interaction with stores and businesses. So, at least we now know where he stands on the issue, despite our many opinions that center-street is more effective. Whatever the plan is, I sincerely hope it just gets built, and soon.
