. . . to try to help, actually. The bank will give $25K grants to the top 25 finishers nationally in a contest that began this week on Facebook. [[Yeah, I know . . . but seems worth tossing here anyhow.)

Crain's Detroit Business blogger Sherri Begin Welch has a post on it today. Contest site is here.

Chase limits eligibility to nonprofits with budgets of $10M or less, so this windfall will reach the streets, not just the suites.

There's no list of those eligible, regrettably, so we need to type in names of groups or first word[[s) such as Detroit, Michigan, Southeast Michigan, Wayne, etc. I spotted dozens that way, including these [[just to show the variety):
the Detroit Rugby Football Club, Michigan Public Radio Network, Rottweiller Rescue and Referral of Southeastern Michigan, Northwest Detroit Cougar Youth Assn.
Participation involves OK'ing FB app. [[Again, I know . . . and am just relaying info of potential interest to some forumers.)

No pledge, no check, not much time required.
