Ohio casinos' effect on Detroit

What ever happened to the plan of 3 permanent casinos on the river front in Detroit? MGM was the only casino to get a brand new building. Greektown definetly could of used one as well. The casino floor was left pretty much untouched, and it shows. It looks beat up, kinda like a casino on Freemont street in Vegas. And the surrounding streets are too small and often irritating to manouever through.

Yeah, let's build two more brand new buildings and let the old ones return to rotting, exacerbating the problem of blight in Detroit. My only wish, is that all of the casinos would have been built on the same street, creating their own little 'strip.'
