A real stinker last night for the Wings in the Hall of Fame game. Nasty looking injury for Williams, hope we don't lose any more players.

The cheap shot to Kronwall's knee tonight was bad. I hope Kronwall is OK.
Far more injuries result from stupid plays like this than from fighting.
Laraque is the dirtiest player in the league, worse than Pronger. I hope he gets suspended. Sucks that we don't play them again this year so May could get him. Laraque likes to cheap shot than run from a fight, as he did with McSorley a few years ago.
Problem is, May would go after him, he would turtle, and the Wings would be punished with an instigator penalty.
I believe the instigator rule has resulted in injuries due to cheap shots and stick work, which were controlled somewhat in the past. A player knew, if he went too far, that he would have to face an enforcer.
That was a deliberate act last night. Best hope is for a suspension.
Perhaps the league should look at suspensions that last as long as the injured player can't play.
Or, just go back to the old rules...
Five game suspension to Laraque.
Kronwall will miss months, and possibly could never be the same.
Yep. Sounds like a Bettman move.
Now, what do forum members suppose would happen if it were Sydney Crosby who was hurt?
Nice to see the Wings finally score some goals.
I agree. They learned last spring that a team must score to win. I believe they will be needing more "ugly" goals this spring. Maybe a little less finesse...
I respectfully disagree... You must not know much about Georges LaRaque. He can fight, and I personally think he would take Brad May...Problem is, May would go after him, he would turtle, and the Wings would be punished with an instigator penalty.
