So the state paid Higgins $3.3 mil. for his once beautiful building only to tear it down? It's even more mind-numbingly idiotic than I thought.
Why the hell are we paying off criminals like Higgins for the result of their crimes? Given the state that the building is in, and how long it has sat there in that condition, if the intent is to tear it down wouldn't condemnation and eminent domain have been better ways to go? Or is the fix truly in for seemingly gold-plated and untouchable grand poobah of slumlords Mike?
