I have seen no references on this site to a new manufacturing plant to be located in Detroit. Luxwell is a Ypsilanti based
investment firm with substantial financial backing, apparently
including some from Bill Gates.
They apparently have rights to produce a new type of energy
efficient insulated glass. Presumably, if you use this new
glass in you home or factory, your energy costs will go down.
This firm has apparently obtained funding not only from
investors but from federal agencies. Apparently they plan
the development of production sites here in southeast
Michigan.
They have, apparently, secured funding to convert a former
Detroit Edison coal fire power plant located in or neat the
Delray neighborhood into a plant that will produce the
innovative energy efficient glass. They project needing
at least 277 workers at this new Detroit factory.

Does any one know more about this new manufacturing
plant in Detroit? Which rail line will serve the plant?
