It’s sad that people cannot protest without throwing the violence into the fray,but it has always been that way,look at what happened at the DNC 1968 Chicago.

I was watching a news clip the other day where a protest group said that the use of violence was the only way in order to get peoples attention.

In the bigger picture it’s sad because it has a habit of stifling non violent protests in the future.

I witnessed a group of far-left, anti-Israel extremist rioters—many of whom were not from Detroit or the 13th district—attempting to violently disrupt the 13th district congressional holiday party. This annual celebration is a gathering for many local officials and activists from 21 diverse communities, many seniors, offering a chance to unite and momentarily set aside the challenges faced by our district over the past year. However, the rioters, refusing to accept this, attempted to forcibly resist being removed in the most gentle way possible by the attendees. In a particularly distressing incident, one of the rioters, a white male, struck an elderly African American activist with his fist, causing her to suffer a broken nose, simply because she blocked him from re-entering. This is one of the most appalling acts I have ever witnessed. Several of the identified rioters have previously posted content on social media supporting Hamas and Stalin, and have encouraged violence against police and Jewish individuals. While some may label them as Antifa, in my view, their actions are not anti-fascist; rather, they align with fascism. It is my hope that these rioters will be brought to justice and receive the help they need.

Where were the police or security when this protest were growing? Why was this elderly woman left to block someone from entering?

My guess is it was the socialist party telling the youngsters with the Palestinian youth movement,let us show you how it is done.

To them it has nothing to do with Palestinian,just another wagon to hitch up to in order to spread unrest and divisions through the use of violence.

It worked to an extent because somebody made it clear that a white person punched a black person which that statement invokes emotions.

Stands to reason since the city as a majority did elect a far left progressive radical as a representative that made it clear how she feels about Jews.

The cause and effect of being a hotbed,but the socialist and marxist party has been in the city and many others since the 1920s but outside of this the city seems to have kept them in-check verses what is happening elsewhere across the country.

Not sure about the motivation behind your representation the only thing she has really done is make a lot of noise about a previous president and push radical agendas,the more radical the louder it gets.

I guess having a representative in Washington to help with things like homelessness,mass transit,advocating for pork projects in the city that creates jobs etc is not as much as a priority as obtaining the position so you can tell the world how pissed off you are about everything.

It’s really no different then what Kilpatrick was doing in using the peoples trust for personal gain without providing any real benefit to the city.

It evaporated because the sole purpose was to sow discord in the nation going into the 2020 election. Mission accomplished, then the leaders took their money and fled. Sure would be nice to see all the money donated to the "cause" ever benefited Black's. Is there a BLM scholarship? Programs sponsored to help disadvantaged inner city Black's? Their neighborhoods? I've never seen anything about them. Enlighten me if so.

As far I can see it was a money grab to help politicians. A money grab to militarize people. Truly evil shit.

As for "Biden standing strong", guy is a weak leader who can't walk up stairs or find his way off the stage. He is a fucking loser who could care less about the rise in prices of everything. Rent/Groceries/Mortgage etc...He has played a major role in making life harder for people who struggle the most. People who won't acknowledge this are either intellectually dishonest, or stupid.

Again and thankfully [to break up assumed alliances] many blacks, especially Detroiters are wary of folks with out-of-state plates busting in to inform us 'youth', that is 'us' Detroiters WHAT TO DO - HOW TO THINK! We've lived, traded with and had interactions good, bad and indifferent with Arabs, Jews et al LONG before 10/7/23. It'll be our 'choice' on how we respond and prioritize our attention regarding that region of the world.
