look, you do not have to keep reminding me of what you prefer,I except you as you are - or were .

Thankfully we have a pretty good northern border so it’s hard for that socialism to spill over to our side, but like with gnats and mosquitoes they will always be buzzing about as they always have been, they are still protected under a system that they oppose to the core and I have to respect that.

If that day comes,it’s not me and any guns that I may or may not have that one needs to worry about.

Lol, yes. So much of this parody is barely a stretch from the vile stuff he has put out over the years.

“I could kill someone on Fifth Avenue, and they’d still vote for me". DJ Chump.

the unvarnished truth spoken by a great man. As far as insults go, well, as Chump cheerleader Rocket quoted from philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau in another thread, "insults are the arguments employed by those who are in the wrong."

You know, I have just watched thirty minutes of the Netflix docuseries aptly entitled; "Arnold", since it is all about Arnold, and not much else. It seems to me that if Schwarzenegger had been born American, he would be up there against Chump. The narcissistic traits abound in him, too, although he comes off as more sympathetic, but still.

These are funny times we live in where Political figures and Media personalities are interchangeable. Of course, Reagan had that appeal a while back but the Internet culture has boosted the weirdness factor up a few notches.

I really like Canada. Most of my relatives are in Canada. However, if you want to criticize ant take potshots at Americans and their political tastes, let's catch up on Canadian news. There is a chance that today is the day that Conservatives will launch a no confidence vote. Conservatives have failed in the past to do so. The basis is Trudeau's proposed 23% increase in the carbon tax that will ripple through the economy [[the debate). Will the Quebec Party side with Conservatives this time around or further drag down the Canadian standard of living with yet more taxes?

As an American, I can only hope that Canada will use some its taxation bounty to beef up its dismal share of NATO defense. It gets so weary having to run the U.S. further into debt to cover the rear of deadbeat NATO countries like Trudeau's autocratic version of Canada. The average spending of NATO allies is 2.58% Canada just spends 1.29% of its GNP on defense. Canada ranks 25th of 29 nations in GNP defense spending.

In other Canada news, or at least news that disappeared in the government subsidized Canadian media, there was a petition last year that listed grievances against the Trudeau Regime. It read, in part, The policies of this government aren't aligning with the crisis Canada is facing: housing costs, infringement of civil liberties, highest inflation in history, unbalanced immigration policies, taxation to the point of poverty, weakening of our economy by importing natural resources that Canada already has and under-utilizes; and based on the past eight years of this Prime Minister, Canadians do not have confidence in this Prime Minister, after five ethics investigations and Canada's reputation being tarnished on a global scale under his leadership. To the extent that Canada is being discluded from participating in statements regarding important geopolitical events. We, the undersigned, citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to call for a vote of no confidence and a federal election 45 days following the vote.

This vote never happened but today this might be brought up again. That "infringement of human rights" is an important point among Premier Trudeau's detractors. Trudeau has taken Canada a couple of years ahead of even our Democratic Party in expanding immigration, causing jacked up housing prices, suppression of free speech, and autocratic rule.

My advice to conservative Leader Poilievre is to hold off on the No confidence vote until after the carbon tax has further pressed Canadians' family budgets.

and if Arnold had not been born in America, you would have never even known who he was.

And if my aunt had *alls she would be my uncle,Meh forget that, these days it is entirely possible.

But I agree the internet has created the ability to spread mis-information,dis-information and the ability to stoke the flames in real time, while replacing civics with feelings.

But it does not change the fact that politics were never contentious and even the DNC had their riots and Ceaser did not live to a ripe old age.

Media personalities and political were always interchangeable,Hoover spit them out like chewing tobacco.

The only thing that has changed is the population is 100 million more and the internet gives people a platform to show it is all about them and their needs personally verses the greater good or bigger picture.

and a way to talk to people and refer to them like they would never dare to in the real world.

Wars have been fought over politics and religion for 2000 years and people think they are going to be a sit around a campfire roasting s’mores moment?

Thats the whole purpose of a campaign,to get your base riled up and the energy flowing to win votes and finding people’s pressure points to exploit,it’s to win votes none of it is ment to be real.

Politics here is nothing compared to countries where the mantra is,do not vote for me and you face jail, death, food cut off,or like it used to be here, pulled out of the voting line and beaten.

In retrospect one could say the politics of today is in a much better place then it was in the past.

President Lincoln - President Kennedy may also agree.

    @Oladub/

Not sure about taking potshots at Americans. I think a greater insult is when a Canadian guy waved our flag when storming your capitol. That was both insulting to me and should be to you, too. Insofar as Canada’s contribution to military procurement, I am entirely aligned with your opinion.

On the immigration issue, Quebec has received nearly half of the asylum seekers in Canada the past coupla years, that is on top of the refugees accepted beforehand from countries like Ukraine, and the already high level of standard immigrant applications. So, yes, we are feeling pressure like the US does on that front, and yes, the Trudeau government’s approach has been totally laissez-faire, and damaging to a lot of people whose dream of home ownership is on hold. There are regions of the US that are experiencing this pressure for various reasons; Ma, Ca, even Florida right now, so immigration definitely needs to be addressed by all who are affected by this.

I love the USS, too, and have family all over, or used to. Two aunts in Florida, cousins in NH and Mass, and some in California. A cousin in Seattle now back in Montreal. My grandmother was born in Houghton, Michigan, if that counts for something.

^ Canadians are not innocent little babes in the woods and if a Canadian wants to wave his flag in protest in a truly free country he can,was it insulting because he had the audacity to protest in a free country ?

You guys did strip an entire population of their civil rights over a trucker strike so that did kinda send a strong message to those who would dare to practice their freedoms in the future,if they had them to begin with.

Why so many Canadians living in the states ?

The Canadian who took part in the insurrection was undermining the very democracy you claim to revere. The protest was pushed by a President who didn't want to relinquish his post, and tried to subvert the system. Nothing about that points to a legitimate protest in a free country. Chump is a criminal on many counts, and he is a dangerous element in this period in History. The fact that so many people turn to him because he speaks his shallow mind and lap it up is deplorable, but it is what it is. I am just stating my opinion, whether you like it or not.

Why so many Americans living in Canada?

So, will you be missing TikTok, Richard, when they take it away, or your right to abort a little Dickie when the time comes?

You can always cross the border into Canada, where some aspects are freer than in the US, and others not, depending on your point of view.

You are the one constantly disparaging the Federal government for overreach, and your fellow citizens for lack of work ethic, if I read your posts well on this very thread. of course, a lot of what you post is confused drivel, but that is free speech, so keep on trucking.

^ my posts must have some indisputable content otherwise you would not have to resort to personal torts to distract from actual content.

Re-Word what you posted with interjecting your personal thoughts amd feelings and trying to pass it off because you feel like that it makes it fact.

It does not matter who is wearing the suit or what they say,it’s the policies implemented that effect everyday American or Canadian lives that matter, everything else after that is just filling in time stamps.

I am not going to debate Jan 6 because it’s not the first time that something like that happened on both sides, they had that right to enter that building in protest,no different then it has happened in the past, some did not have a right to cross the line and they are being held accountable.

Our government is for the people-by the people not some all powerful institution in control of every aspect of our lives or have the ability to dictate to us.

It’s not their intended function although apparently those who perfer a more dictatorship style of government get their feeling hurt when it does not work out that way.

You are forgetting that it was your mindset type of people that were actually blowing up government buildings in America in protest.

You could grant Shawn Fain Canadian citizenship and appoint him your leader he would probably fit in better with that style.

But I do applaud Canadas commitment to Ukraine and sense the U.S. is now in 7th place in our commitments that we demand of NATO we are really in no position to question anybody else’s commitments.

To the topic of the thread,it is understandable to stand up for workers rights but it also takes the ability to walk that fine line of protecting their best interests without eliminating them in the process.

That’s what created the rust belt to begin with .

Which the guy you hate so much has already told China he would not allow that to happen under his watch ,so you have so much hatred for the guy built up in your system that you would be willing to destroy thousands of auto workers jobs and the cities where those factories are located just out of your personal spite.

Who is the better person in that role, and is it best practice to become your enemy in order to defeat who you deem your enemies are?

    @Dick/

Well, you can always argue Timothy McVey had the right to enter a Federal bldg, if you think blowing it up was Okay, that's another story.

What would that be about my mindset blowing up stuff in your neck of the woods, I need to decipher your muddled text, again?

There was a Montreal woman crossed into Buffalo NY, a couple years ago nabbed by Border agents with the aim to kill President Chump. Do I sympathize with her? No. She got a 22 year sentence and I hope she serves all of it.

On the other hand, how do you really feel about those who entered the Capitol on Jan 6? You claim that the incoming government was taking your voting rights away, and then say that there is no higher form of democratic rule than your government. So, what will it be?

In that sense, you are double-dealing the same as your leader Chump when he says one thing and its opposite a few minutes into a speech. That is part of his charm. You know you can count on him to play both sides of the fence.

Is not Trudoe also playing both sides of the fence while supporting democracy in Ukraine while wishing to retain the ability to control it in Canada with a stroke of a pen?

To understand my posts you have to take historical context into account and actually have the ability to think and do a little research if your goal is to really understand.

Do I really need to take every word and define it for you,my posts are not already long enough?
