Grand Circus Dog Park Howl-O-Ween costume party

This 10th annual event by the Downtown Detroit Partnership for pet owners and their four-legged friends will include music by DJ Invisible, a costume strut and more.
Owners are encouraged to dress their pets in creative costumes for a chance to win a prize in one of the following categories: best costume, scariest costume, most creative costume and best pet-parent combination. Attendees will receive doggie goodie bags, treats and other fun giveaways courtesy of Premier Pet Supply and Michigan Humane.

2-4 p.m. Saturday at Grand Circus Park Dog Park, 101-157 Witherell in Detroit.

A2 Artoberfest

This fine art fair presented by the Guild of Artists & Artisans will feature about 100 jury-selected artists, live entertainment, food vendors, art activities and adult beverages including craft cocktails from the Ann Arbor Distilling Company, mead and cider from Blom Meadworks, wine from Riboli Family Wines featuring Stella Rosa and Highlands 41, and beer from three local breweries: Ascension Brewing, Brew Detroit, and Drafting Table Brewing.
This year’s headliner will be Ain’t Dead Yet. Other performers include Mayflower Music, Rochelle Clark and DJ Batz.

10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday [[with 6-8 p.m. after hours) and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday on North Fourth Avenue and Ann Street in downtown Ann Arbor.

Detroit Fall Beer Festival

More than 100 breweries offering nearly 600 beers are expected at the Michigan Brewers Guild’s Detroit Fall Beer Festival. Attendees at this all-Michigan beer tastings event can listen to local musicians while sipping offerings from Michigan breweries.

1-6 p.m. Saturday at the Eastern Market in Detroit. Tickets are $55 per person in advance and $65 the day of or at the gate [[if available).

Dia De Los Muertos celebration

This family-friendly event hosted by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy will celebrate the cultural traditions of Dia de los Muertos. There will be food, live music by Adel Ruelas featuring. Luna, a dance performance by Ballet Folklorico Moyocoyani Izel, vendors, children’ s activities and more.
You can view a community ofrenda honoring people who have died and participate by leaving a name or message for a loved one.

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Robert C. Valade Park, 2670 Atwater in Detroit. Free.

Blake’s Big Apple Haunted Attractions

This is the final weekend for haunted fun with zombie paintball, a three-story haunted barn, a spooky 3D maze, a haunted hayride and more.

6-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 6-10 p.m. Sunday at Blake’s Big Apple, 71485 North Ave. in Armada. Advance tickets are required. Tickets start at $17.95.
