Servite was not a public school. It was the Catholic school that went with St John Berchman's Elementary and Church.

Many years ago, I snuck into what was left of Servite/Colin Powell Academy?. In the middle of winter, so I slipped down 2 floors of ice going from one floor to the other. God, this place is HUGE!!! A church, an auditorium, a gym, a school??! Still had books and desks in it. My oldest brother played basketball there when we went to Bishop Gallagher. I remember the gym was so small that there were no bleachers on the sides, just above and around the court. Didn't want to stand on the sides. The floor last I saw it was badly warped! How sad. Though in retrospect, a novel use of conserving space.
