What's more interesting is that they said they had to move to Walkerville because "they were tight for space at their old location" in the Ford City neighbourhood business district.Thirty years ago, Walkerville was a down-on-its' luck part of Windsor with a few bars, greasy spoons and little else. It's just amazing how Drouillard Road from Trenton to Richmond transformed itself in a decade from only two dive bars--the International Tavern and Brown's Breaktime lounge--and a biker club house that the police kept shutting down to a strip that's now filled with restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and other eateries. They even have a "Coney Island" there now.
I did a video tour of that strip last Saturday at the Dropped on Drouillard event here:

What a difference! I never expected Ford City to transform itself from the worst area in Windsor to what it is today.
