NINE Design + Homes Festival of the Arts


HGTV’s "Bargain Block" stars Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas have partnered with The Guild of Artists & Artisans for this inaugural event that will showcase more than 40 jury-selected artisans, live music at the Artist Village Detroit, food trucks, adult beverages, a peek into NINE Design + Homes’ mini-home, hands-on art making and more.
This outdoor urban fine art and craft show will also feature a live mural painting by Bynum, and fairgoers can participate in workshops that include: furniture rehab demonstrations, home styling tips, kids art activities and information on how to apply for loans and mortgages with Community Financial Credit Union.

10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday in the Old Redford neighborhood's business corridor in northwest Detroit at Grand River and Burgess streets.

Canton’s 30th Annual Liberty Fest

This family-friendly event returns with carnival rides, Midway games, live entertainment, a marketplace, food, a beer garden, an annual run, a Juneteenth celebration, Friday night fireworks and more.
Performances will include the Merge Band, Sonic Freeway, Lookin' Back, Hotel Bodhisattva, School Rock, Bugs Beddow and The Good Stuff, Bernadette Kathryn & the Lonely Days Band, Atomic Radio, Power of Love, Stan Barnes, and C3 and the Third Generation Band.

1-10 p.m. Thursday, 1-11 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Park, 1150 S. Canton Center Road in Canton Township.

Opa! Fest 2023

Participate in this 30th annual Greek Festival that celebrates the Hellenic Culture with authentic food, costumes, dances, a marketplace, children’s play area, live entertainment and more.
4-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; Noon-8 p.m. Sunday at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 760 W. Wattles in Troy. Admission is $3 per person or bring three canned goods to donate to Gleaners Food Bank; free for children 12 and younger.

Fun Food Friends Festival

Enjoy the day with a car show, vendors, live entertainment, kids play area, food trucks and more at this event hosted by Pops’ Entertainment.
11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at Knights Park & Pavilion, 11542 21 Mile in Shelby Township. Free to attend

Oak Park Summer Blast 2023

This annual event will have carnival rides, games, food, live entertainment, bbq cook-off, mini pub, music and more.
4-11 p.m. Friday; noon-11 p.m. Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday at the Oak Park Community Center, 14300 Oak Park Blvd. in Oak Park. Free to attend.
