Well I think that the answer to this strange scenario where 2 Democrats are battling it out for the same district with the Gentile winning the Jewish PAC support pretty much narrows down to one major reason. Andy Levin supports a 2 state solution between Israel and the Palestinians... and part of his solution includes giving up East Jerusalem, which is sacrosanct for Israel.
Circa 1978, I went to the top of the World Trade Center. A tour guide on the elevator was telling us some facts about the twin towers. He said the towers' floors encompassed more square miles of space than all of East Jerusalem. That might be true -- I haven't tried to verify it.
At any rate, it's a goddamn shame about religion IMHO.
I too was on top of the North Tower observation platform in the 90s. The twin towers were 10 million sq. ft., which is approximately 1/2 sq. mi. in area. Old Jerusalem is 2 1/2 sq. mi. in area. Thanks for the information. Did you experience wind rushing out to equalize air pressure when the elevator door opened?
I googled this: 10 million square feet = 0.358700643 square miles?
Smaller than East Jerusalem which, tragically, has outsized significance for partisans of the Abrahamic religions. But is small in terms of real estate.

I’m not sure how I’d have captioned this thread, but I’d not have used the term “pro-Israeli.” It’s very easy to be pro-Israel and not aligned with anything affiliated with AIPAC.
FWIW, my Jewish husband despises AIPAC and their agenda.
