This would seem to be an interesting challenge as the building is so narrow. Nice location near N'namdi Gallery / Seva and Medical Center. The developer has a record of success so good luck and I hope they keep the ivy.

An empty church in Midtown Detroit could be the next big showpiece for creatively reused real estate under one developer's vision to transform the old worshipping space into 15 lofts. h Birmingham business owner and developer Neal Check, 57, bought the former New Grace Baptist Church building, 92 E. Forest Ave., in May and hopes to begin converting the 11,000-square-foot building to studios and one-bedroom apartments as early as this spring, pending necessary city approvals. h The project also would refurbish the church's tall windows and pitched ceiling, and build out the second floor to extend over the former altar for more living space.
