Might as well make rules about clear backpacks. Then, do you distinguish between open and concealed carry?

I don't see 'clear' plastic holding up over micro-fiber bags like Jansport. They'll be ripped and torn thru in a month.

I guess Oxford doesn't want to go forward with 'actual' metal detectors that students must walk and pass their bags thru in the Detroit Public Schools Community District's schools?

Well if Oxford goes forward with the clear plastic backpack option over installed metal detector screening Walmart has a plenty [for now]:

Casinos and other venues require their female employees to carry clear purses as a measure against guns and theft. Not saying I like the practice, but it's out there already

^ Yeah, I knew that [know people who worked at the casinos].

I did not bring it up as the weight factor is not a problem for a standard purse as it is for heavy books, and laptops students must carry.

The metal detector route is the best, direct option IMO.

    LMAO! Incorrect as always Dick.

My original reference of ‘Antebellum’ is in post #459 Go read it,
    its right there.

Your are spending hours writing irrelevant diatribes trying to cover your own ignorance of the definition of ‘Antebellum’ by doubling down on architecture like it was ever relevant.

You will write another lengthy all over the place out of context reply to this I’m sure. Your posts are the ramblings of a disjointed mind full of irrelevant questions that you claim somebody isn't answering when you couldn’t answer a question directly if your life depended on it. So, the kid also shares responsibility in this? Nice deliberate choice
    of words on your part.

8 year old girl- "Momma, let’s go shoot some deer…

Heather Sue - "Why not baby girl? Cain’t wait til yer all growed up now, can we? - and sense [[sic) you bin a good girl, I’ll show iyou how to poach.

Here’s another good’un fer ya. See how protecting your family does to little kids in this madness. Is it too much or too little wokeness down in Appalachia that brought about the heroin/crack/fentanyl orgy going down?

So, this 11 year old child learned to handle guns shot his 8 year old neighbor. The moral of this story is: if you are intent on finding a good reason to rationalize a sensible outcome from the "liberal" access to guns is your home, this would be it.

Apparently there are already laws on the books,so why are schools exempt from following them?

According to the Michigan State Police, in 2020 only 4% of schools followed the law and actively reported incidents or attempted incidents for a range of crimes.
Crimes such as assault [[physical or sexual), theft, and arson are all tracked by the MSP, and school districts are required to report these incidents within 24 hours of their occurrence.

When News 4 in Detroit asked the Michigan Department of Education if it “kept track of incidents or communicated with MSP about them at all, MDE spokesperson Martin Ackerly said in a one-word email, ‘No.’”

    https://www.captainmikeformichigan.c...tect-children/

I agree 100% with the intent of the safety task force but clearly the decisions they make will carry no weight and not be enforceable.

The only way south Florida got that situation resolved after their school shooting was to fire all of the administrators.

Starting at the top,who was a person that was brought out of California in order to be the supervisor, mistake #1 as all they did was spread their brand of poison into Florida and it got more kids dead.

For those who are parents, what would your reaction be if your child got molested/raped and the school told you,we do not want to notify the police and we will handle this on a school level.

I know I would be going to jail.

Is that what we teach our kids in school now? Go ahead and rape at will,we will protect you?

I am glad my granddaughters are going to a normal school.

Now it makes me wonder, how many kids have been molested at school and the parents not told about it,how many will carry those scars?

This is how a trainer was able to molest for decades.

Yeah Richard... firing all the Administrators always takes care of problems...

Why do you always bring up shit that is only remotely related [weak analogy] to the topic at hand, such as raping and molesting? Do you have some sort of minimum posting threshold that you have to do? And you wonder why your relentless posts are attacked by so many on this forum.

And what PRAY TELL... is a "normal school" that your granddaughters go to? Do they preach "intelligent design" and avoid "evolution"? I'm sure the parents of Stoneman Douglas High School in your state thought their kids went to a normal school, before the slaughtering of the innocents took place there.

^ so he is going directly to trial, while skipping the formalities.

As a comparison a school shooting that happened in Washington state in 2017 - the accused is just now entering his guilty plea - still has to go to trial.

I have not seen the formal charges against the parents but this article

The elder Crumbleys are accused of making a gun accessible to their son and refusing to take him home on the day of the shooting when school counselors confronted them with distressing drawings of violence.

    https://www.columbian.com/news/2022/...court-hearing/

But it still goes back to the school professional staff determined he was not a threat to himself or others,if they told that to the parents, would the parents really be expected to take him home?

Which means his lawyers tried to blame his mentally ill condition to kill students and avoid life in prison. It's not going to work.

    Insanity plea YES

    Life in prison YES

Ethan Crumbley has made his fateful decision to give up his freedom for vengeance and he will pay the price and his irresponsible parents, too.

Ethan Crumbley's stepbrother who is living in Florida who has seen the incident and been previously interviewed by FBI and DEA will vow never to see Ethan, his stepmother and his bio-father ever again.

What about Ethan Crumbley parents. Will they Club-Feb Prison getaway? Yes, in about 25 to 35 years.

A man and a woman accused of a crime, but not yet convicted showing their support for each other makes you get sick?

Betcha if it was two men or two woman or two them’s doing the same thing it would be protesting in the streets.

What should make one want to puke,is the ability to arrest and charge one of a crime, based solely on what one thinks verses if they actually committed a crime in the first place.

Some support arresting people and then figuring out a crime to charge them with later,it is pretty common place in dictatorships and even more so in 1937.

The same couple who by all accounts had a deteriorating relationship that was falling apart prior to this who now chooses to express love when the cameras are on? Let me guess, you thought Donald and Melania were madly in love as well.

Your obsession with the LGBTQ+ community aside, it was two phony individuals playing up to the camera that the poster was commenting on. Not everything is an affront to white heterosexuality.

People who enable crimes can also be charged. It is up to the prosecutor to present enough evidence to make the case. The people who sold Michael K. Williams the drugs that aided in his overdose are being charged for the death despite not forcibly injecting him. They are going through the legal system as it is designed and will be found innocent or guilty. Comparing this to a dictatorship every time you post is overly and hilariously dramatic but that tends to be your M.O.

^ guess you never been married? Relationships go through rocky patches, sometimes it takes traumatic situations to bring them back together,it’s none of my business what their previous relationship was,o am not a drama queen and do not judge or assign automatic guilt because somebody had or may have had a rocky relationship.

Discussion had nothing to do with how I may have thought about the previous president’s relationship,I am not obsessed enough to keep them living in my head like some others.

Nor is it about a drug dealer selling drugs causing death.

Hypothetical question for you, sense you support people being held accountable over situations that they had little control over.

Somebody wants to do a photo shoot on top of a tall building, the photographer brings them up to the top, while trespassing ,one falls off of the building and dies, should the photographer be charged with the death because the person who fell would have never been in that position in the first place if the photographer had not enabled it ?

Yes that is how dictatorships work,it has nothing to do with obsession, you do not actually need to commit a crime, they just pick you up and hold you while they figure one out.

No different then China with their social credit score, how you behave in life and online determines weather you can buy a house, get a job,or even rent an apartment. So feuding spouses will have a lower social credit score.

Why do you think things like stop and frisk receive so much negative attention?

But I always keep in mind there are socialists, marxists and those with dictatorship leanings are just as prevalent online, constantly pushing their narrative under the guise of everybody that disagrees gets a label.

Name one case where the parents have been charged with a school shooting where the child got the weapon at home.

The prosecution is charging the kid as an adult, meaning he acted with the capacity of an adult, the parents play no role in that, unless we can start arresting and charging the parents of all adult children that create crimes.

The prosecutor has already admitted this is not about a school shooting and about creating her own gun control regulations, which she is in no legal position to do.

How would you like it if you were dragged through the legal system, looking at prison time if convicted, not for actually committing a crime, but to be used to set an example towards others or to create a new law?

    If anybody is enabling,you are.

Amusing how a certain poster continually bends over backwards to put a positive spin on everything about that family, whether it’s the murderous son or the negligent parents. No doubt said poster trumpets the need for personal responsibility when those charged fall into a different demographic.

Bonus points for the thinly veiled homophobia [[I’m not sure how to characterize the reference to “two thems…” - perhaps phobia of the non-gender confirming?). It was nicely slipped in. But ever so revealing.

Amusing how people are easily drawn into straight line thinking and can only focus on the surface, maybe that’s how China got such a hold, throw people trinkets and that’s all they can look at.

You read into and psychoanalyze my posts and create scenarios in your mind in order to fit your narrative, which is exactly what this prosecutor is doing in this case.

The parents are just puppets in this game, and it is easy for the prosecutor because she seems to have no shortage of puppets for support, that is what she is counting on.

While some keep diverting the topic to me,pay attention to the top prosecutor in Baltimore who was just federally charged.

She also was using her office in order to change the laws, her words,by eliminating prosecution for low level crimes,Kinda like California were it is perfectly normal to crap and piss anywhere in public with impunity or pretty much do anything you like as long as it is not a danger to the public.

I guess having to walk in others crap on the streets is not considered a danger to the public.

Any rate, you have a top prosecutor who had decided she was going to create the laws and not uphold them like it was her job to do,arrested for lying on a mortgage application in order to buy a second house in Florida, lying in order to get COVID funds while saying her income was reduced in order to defraud the taxpayers, when she received her normal salary the whole time.

You guys can create whatever you want in your minds about how all of this is about the parents, once again,it stopped being about the parents the second the prosecutor publicly stated this is about changing existing laws and creating a new standard of law within the prosecutors office.

You can come up with semi truck loads of liberal justification all you want, what makes you think that you are that special that you will become exempt from actions in the future if this continues to be tolerated?
