1970's censorship laws in Detroit vs Strip clubs & XXX Porn theaters.

I do recall some great consternation at the time about whether strip clubs could be totally nude or just topless. It turned out they would only be topless except one enterprising soul circumvented that restriction by opening a nude club in Walled Lake, IIRC.

You earthlings wring your hands over the strangest things.

Then people who clothe their pets are regarded as odd. Go figure.

Then you go to parts of Europe and people do not think twice about nudity on the beach,there are artistic events where nude body painting in the park on a Sunday,or a nudity parade where everybody walks down the street,hundreds of people neked as a jay bird out for a stroll.

Minneapolis had the law where you could not mix topless with alcohol,so you bought two buildings next to each other put up a glass wall between the two and presto.

I remember back in the 80s a lunch special in Miami included a thick portorhouse steak,baked potato,veggies and a totally nude dancer that entertained you from the center of the table for $19.95.

Its like any Vice though,make it taboo and people want it more.

I have had clubs,never totally nude though,different clientele and girls dancing,the totally nude seems to draw from the lower end of the spectrum,the money is in the alcohol,the dancers are just the entertainment.

For about 5 years every taxpayer in the country was invested in a strip club,the IRS ran one in order to find out what the revenue truly was.

Meanwhile in Windsor there were those years where you had everything from drinking at 18, full nudity, legal escorts to cuban cigars but God help you if you shopped on a Sunday.
