Looks like Five Iron Golf is planning to open a location where the Punch Bowl Social used to be. Kind of surprised since usually when an article says something opening up in Metro Detroit it is usually never a Detroit location.
"The Shelby Township location brings a new option for golf enthusiasts. The Shelby Five Iron, which will have 10 to 20 employees, is about 4.5 miles northwest of an X Golf indoor center. Top Golf, in Auburn Hills, is about a 25-minute drive away.
The Detroit location, with a staff of 15-30 employees, brings the all-encompassing venue back to the city after Punch Bowl Social closed in spring 2020."

I noticed another grocery store that might be opening on Woodbridge street next to the RenCen called Riverfront Market. Does anyone has any information on this upcoming market?
Is this it? Still in progress if so......

What happened to the Sugar Factory that was to open in the former Hard Rock Cafe spot?
Most of their other locations are big cities, casinos, airports and tourist spots. I don't see how Detroit has the pedestrian traffic for this to last. Once the Detroit area suburban "tourists" have tried it I think it will be gone in about a year. Not being negative but demographics are what they are.
Most tourist traffic downtown tends to hover around Campus Martius when they are not at their convention/sporting/concert venue. So this seems to be appropriate. Most of their other locations are big cities, casinos, airports and tourist spots. I don't see how Detroit has the pedestrian traffic for this to last. There is enough foot traffic around Campus Martius to support this restaurant. Ben and Jerry was doing good in the area until they decided to close it's doors. There is plenty of foot traffic all year around to support this restaurantMost of their other locations are big cities, casinos, airports and tourist spots. You don't even need foot traffic. Sugar Factory will be a huge in Detroit, regardless.
Le Labo is closed.
I guess I'm comparing it to Toronto, Chicago, etc. where the sidewalks are crowded. Summer weekends accounts for about 30 days a year. It's got to have a lot of traffic to be open from morning to night 7 days per week all year long, especially at those prices. We shall see.
