Isiah Thomas used to use his mob neighbor for cash withdrawals in Bloomfield Hills. He would write a check to the guy for the amount of cash he needed instead of going to the bank. It was a few hundred bucks here and there instead of going to the ATM. More like a neighbor doing a favor. It was never amounts that would be worthwhile to wash money unless he was the ATM for half of Bloomfield Hills.
