    Have not seen anything yet about future of the building.

    Planning Department is the wrong term, they should be called the I've Got A Rule for You Department.

    The planning pendulum has swung far too far towards regulation. Planning is necessary, with a much smaller set of rules.

    ...Or let the Detroit Institute of Arts/Detroit Film Theater purchase and run the place to not only support the Institute, but to continue to show independent films for that segment of moviegoers. A well stocked concession stand is where the money is - 85% profit!
