Default Conquistador, Salvador, Prima Donna, or What?

I have zero basis for an opinion about Salvador Salort-Pons but, in a sign of the times, the DIA's big enchilada is attracting notice all across the political spectrum from morons who have less than zero basis writing for rags like the National Review, World Socialist Review, etc.

Here the issue as to which fairy can best run the DIA has been joined to the broader war as to who cancels whom being fought by fascists and Jacobins alike.

Your comment sounds vague. What is the reason?

6 out of 54 board members resigned largely over ethics violations regarding things like nepotism and a hostile work environment. The DIA decided to keep him on under monitoring. Sounds like a fairly reasonable result for now

Agreed, it may be reasonable for now. But what interests me is how the man's tenure in Detroit have become a political cause célèbre with articles like these:

Cancel Culture Hits Detroit Museum Director Salvador Salort-Pons | National Review

What is the New York Times up to at the Detroit Institute of Arts? - World Socialist Web Site [[wsws.org)

    WTH? World Socialist Web Site??

You might as well have the Teamsters newsletter talking about the DIA...

As for the El Greco... talk about making a meal out of a morsel...

As for the issues about African Americans represented in the art world... well that's a different story... but not one that can easily be fixed in a short period of time.
