Hi Everybody!

I know that haven't visited or posted any comments in a while. That's because I've been working on my novel and trying to get it ready to submit it to an actual, professional editor.

As a writer of historical fiction, the contributors to the various DetroitYES threads about the city's history and culture has been vital in helping me create a rich and authentic atmosphere for my book.

I recently recorded a podcast with Matthew Harms of Pen for Hire in New York. While discussing my methods and madness in the writing life, I was happy to give props to DetroitYES in discussing how historical fiction writers conduct research.

Congrats, Kathy, on getting this far with your novel. I can relate to the time period as I was 10 during the summer of '67. You'll have to plan a visit to Detroit whenever it gets published!!
