Take another look, Jimaz; it's not the sky.I'm envious. That's an astronomer's wet dream.
In the remote dark skies of Arizona I could see not only the Milky Way, but, with dark-adapted eyes, the shadow of my arm cast by the light of the Milky Way alone.
If you hold your forearm parallel to the galaxy, a shadow appears. If you turn it perpendicular to the galaxy, the shadow vanishes. It's just that weird.
