This program was introduced in 2018,it would be nice to see a follow up.

I also caught a glimpse of an outer city receiving some of the federal funds that are being administrated currently for skills training but have been unable to find where the city took advantage of it.
Tampa received 53 million under the current round for skills training and advanced trading if you were already employed but wanted to advance your skill set, even if you were in the technology field.
You did not even need a high school diploma to sign up.
We have to make sure the opportunity exists for those who wish to take advantage of it.
We also have to be careful when some drop projects under the guise of unable to find workers, not that there is not a shortage, they may just not want to pay them what they think they should.
Booming economy also drives up costs and if you have not started a major project before an election cycle kicks in you wait until it is over, because grants, incentives etc are subject to change in a whim.
You have to pass the test and many don't. Kids today are told to get a college education. They don't want to do manual labor. Although money is good, it's hard work and can be long hours, traveling in some cases. You have the baby boomer generation...Many retired or getting ready too. The most recent retirees are currently being recruited because the amount of work available. We will see an influx of travelers for those jobs.

The Hungry Howie's insert was a tragic blunder. Sorry.
More funny than tragic.
A few years ago I posted this. At that time there was a labor shortage in California that was a lingering aftereffect of the Great Recession. I suppose that could still be a factor.
