I was wondering if anyone here has ever stayed at the hotel? My wedding anniversary is approaching and I am considering a Corner King smoking room.Any thoughts or suggestions?

I've had a few friends stay there recently. They said it was a tremendous value for $99, and had a great time. The check-in time took a bit longer than they would've liked, as a bus had just dropped off a few dozen people who were also checking in at that time.
If you look at the reviews on TripAdvisor and the like, most rate the place highly, especially the more recent reviews. The hotel got off to a shaky start, but seems to have done well. It's almost always booked solid on the weekends, which has led to a 80% occupancy rate since they opened - likely the best of the downtown hotels.
I've stayed here twice in the past 2 months. The hotel is very good value for the money-comfy beds, nice decor, etc. The only negatives are with a few amenities lacking - ie. no pay-per-view movies and no pool. The only thing to consider with your room is a front or rear location - The front has great views but can be noisy-music from the dance clubs below can be heard 20 floors up until 3:00 am. The rear is much quieter but basically just overlooks the parking deck.
Thanks for the information. The room were getting they call a corner room. Were really looking forward to a great view of the city.We have the room for two nights.Hopefully they will give us a nice one.We plan on being there early for check in.Maybe we'll beat the rush. Thanks again
