LOL!!!
What a load of batcrap.
Keith Olbermann has the 18-54 demographic locked up.
Glenda Speck is nothing more than a self-described Roedo Ho. It doesn't even matter what his numbers are, only single digits watch FUXED noise anyway.
As MCP points out, this guy is an infotainer...[[propagandist would be another accurate title)...There is always lots of well paid work for propagandists; just ask Leni Riefenstahl, who made films for the Nazis. She caught a bit of flack for making films that looked up admiringly at the Fuhrer, but even after 1945, she lived a life of glamour and wealth.

Anyway, somebody has to go after the younger angry white guys, as the median age for a Rush listener is somewhere near the 70s, [[years, not IQ).

If you think that Beck is really sincere in his beliefs, consider that, on his show, he shrieked about Photographer Jill Greenberg's very unflattering photos of John McCain and called her a terrorist, and then only weeks later eagerly dashed over in his limo to Jill's studio to get his photo taken for GQ Magazine.

I wouldn't call ANYTHING on American television a legitimate news source, and at the end of my life, I won't regret unplugging my last TV and dropping it out the window when I was 17 years old.
For those of you who still have one in your homes, I say that it's never too late. Kill your television!

Then how would all the wing nuts get their talking points and sound bits, as right wing AM radio can't play them all?For those of you who still have one in your homes, I say that it's never too late. Kill your television!
Oligarhy... ?
Conservatives are old, white, and male, almost by definition. It's one of the reasons the Republicans have been in so much trouble lately. They're going to have even more trouble in the future, if they don't adjust.
And 25-54 is quite an age range. That's almost 30 years of leeway.
What's really sad is how people eat up crap like this:

Paranoid ramblings of a deranged mind.
I agree, this isn't news, it is commentary....Damn good commentary that resonates with rational thinking people.
Here's just a sample of the "rational thinking people" you identify with- what I call the frothing masses of crazy Beck Squirrels.
Glenn Beck's Fox Show continues to hemorrhage corporate sponsors.
Yesterday eight more companies, including retail giant Wall Mart, dropped sponsorship of Beck's program. That makes over 20 companies that have pulled their advertising from Beck's show in the past 2 weeks, after a Color of Change petition urged advertisers to cease sponsorship of Beck's program when the talk show host said Obama had a "deepseated hatred for white people".
Rather than apologize or stop spewing divisive hate speech, Beck seems to be responding by tapping his vast, creepy army of "912" followers to wage a counterprotest.
In an email obtained by AlterNet today, an administrator of the website calls on "fellow patriots" to:
Let Fox News and those that Advertise on TV know that you support the Glenn Beck program. [This Petition is being sponsored by The 912 National Coalition...] This petition/letter will be sent directly to Fox News and shared with the advertisers on his program, past and present. Please take a moment now to sign the petition and post a link to this petition on every 912 or Tea Party website in the country.
We need a strong national voice... together we can Reclaim America! Live Free... KC Freeman
A link takes the passionate Beck supporter to a 912 petition site. The top left-hand corner features a drawing of some guys in Revolutionary garb, so you know whatever follows is good for freedom and America, and bad for socialism and whatnot. Here's what follows:
Greetings
I am signing this online petition to thank Glenn Beck for his bold stand for the Principles and Values that he holds dear and for his desire to educate the American public.
Mr Beck has motivated tens of thousands to learn more about the U.S. Constitution and the founding of our great country. He has helped expose the corruption in both political parties, and speaks from the heart even when it is not politically correct and may be considered controversial by many to do so.
I am also signing this petition to ask Fox News Channel to continue to support the Glenn Beck television program and to let his advertisers know that I proudly support the Glenn Beck program and will look to reward those that advertise on his show by using their products and services when possible.
To current or past advertisers that have reportedly withdrawn support of his program, or are considering doing so to appease the demands of special interest groups, please know that I reserve the right to stop purchasing your product or using your services as a form of economic protest.
Now, no matter how much steam it gathers, the petition is certainly not going to un-spook advertisers into un-dropping Beck.
Big advertisers avoid controversy that could sully their brand, and the prospect of being associated with Beck's fringe 912 coalition -- whose local chapters have been linked to violence in town halls, among other unsavory, mainstream-alienating activities -- will certainly not inspire a surge of advertiser support for Beck.
But, it's also pretty obvious that Fox would lose some pretty serious cred with the crazies if their efforts to muzzle Beck are too obvious, and this petition may serve as a reminder of that.
So, Batts, do you say this crap to get a rise out of people? You certainly can't believe Speck has anything relevant to say in light of the social retardism he's spewing.
Jon Stewart caught him with his pants down on the subject of health care reform. When Beck was on CNN Headline News, he cried about how horrible America's Health Care system was [[they didn't treat him very well when he had major ass pain) but it became the best health care system in the world after he started working at the propaganda channel.
I think Beck's just a jaded wanna-be spin doctor who is making money and selling himself by any means necessary.

I see you're still making things up Lorax. Olbermann's and MSNBC's ratings are dropping like stones [[while Fox news continues to climb)

Lorax...last week Beck set ratings records....Olberwho?
To me, Beck is not that much different than Stephen Colbert. How could anyone take him seriously?
Beck is not portraying the opposite of what he believes as does Colbert....he is also funnier than Colbert.
Does high ratings mean that he is an authority on anything? Other than being a shock jock, what experience or education does he bring to the table?

I was going to make a comment here but I feel the love is already working its magic.
Ill leave this thread alone now.
We shouldn't be surprised that Fox leads the ratings, they have pioneered the shock value news delivery approach for years, just look at their local tabloid news department.
Remember, just because a network leads the ratings, it does not mean the content is factually correct, unbiased, or even quality content[[see Fox's American Idol, Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire, etc.).
Americans have some pretty shitty tastes in entertainment and the news is no different. Fox may lead the pack, but ratings do not make it accurate, or factual, despite what you hear in the mainstream conservative media.
Fox has inundated most markets in the US, thanks to the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine, Clinton, and Bush on steroids. They were the defacto propaganda machine for the Rehtuglican party when the Bush Crime Family was running the show.
They still are, and in spite of their "numbers" even Fox's tentacles couldn't stop Obama from winning a solid majority, and both houses of congress being turned Democratic.
Sorry, fascists, keep pumping out the Specks, the Shrill Orally's, the Sean Insannity's- you can fill 24 hours with more and more socially retarded political hacks, and your base will continue to shrink to include nothing more than a toothless, warped and prostrated group of gutternipes.
Typical liberal response ala Bill Mahr...the public is stupid, yeah, that's right, that's the problem, not that the liberal media is doing anything wrong to turn off viewers/listeners.
Keep thinking that way, we like unsuspecting opponents.
BTW, This Van Jones guy [[amongst others) makes Rev Wright look like Gandhi. Anyone paying attention must realize how crooked and corrupt Obama is to have the likes of Van Jones in an appointed high level position.
He can't invoke the ignorance clause either, as the FBI will most certainly have uncovered all of this stuff before letting the guy get within 1000 yards of the White House.
