Detroit's worst neighborhoods?

Meddle, is the area you're thinking of north of Detroit Diesel? This area is pretty nice looking.

OK, so apparently it wasn't a school in my time which is why I don't remember it:

Although not explicitly mentioned in that link, Detroit Community started out in St. Suzanne's grade school building until it needed something bigger.

That small gym made high school basketball games interesting. Also fans sat in old pews instead of bleachers.

Had a gun [[actually 2) to my head 15 years ago at an after hours club near 6 mile and Woodward. That would be my pick for worst neighborhood in Detroit
