Some folks can't read well, so they have learning disabilities.
They skip lines, tend to get distracted, let other thoughts creep in,
have trouble focusing on a topic and lack discipline. It's sad.

Oh my gosh we went from dating site bios to Trump-ish rants!! I never realized they were so close on the communication spectrum.

But stop ignoring the real problem. Mosquitos are the biggest problem facing Detroit. And no one knows it except for me.
Doing homework, figuring stuff out for yourself - nice Bartocktoo
Detroit will be better off if we never get 5G.
Come to think of it,.. might be nice to get rid of 4G. Perhaps then all the kiddies will stop spending 3-10 hours a day staring at their moron-phones and learn to work.
Employers like myself are running out of people without moron phones to hire.
Detroit already has 5G.
NO we don't . Please prove me wrong. I encourage it
5g where does it originate?
Satellites in space.
How does it get here?
Beams of radiation.
How strong are they?
They have to be strong enough to not be effected by buildings, cars or humans while passing through.
NOAA has stated that when implementing 5G the path it follows interrupts thier satellites when it comes to weather tracking and skews the numbers setting them back 20 years when it comes to forecasting storms and weather patterns.
So a tornado comes across as a sneeze and a hurricane comes across as a mid summer rain.
So does blasting beams of radiation from outer space down through earth burn holes through the ozone?

And even though it’s not true 5G, AT&T’s 5G Evolution is still an upgrade over existing network technology. The pseudo-5G technology can support speeds up to two times faster than standard LTE — with theoretical peak speeds clocking in at 400 megabits per second, the company wrote.
Currently, AT&T has launched the technology in a total of 141 markets — it’s currently available in major metropolitan areas like Atlanta, Chicago, Memphis, Nashville and San Diego.
It plans to bump that up to over 500 markets by this year, including in Baltimore, Seattle, Las Vegas, New York City, Detroit, and Washington D.C.

.....and DETROIT will continue to have 5G troubles moving forward.....
Heard they will forgo 5 & jump to 6G, something to do w/blockchain based technology & integrated data cells.
Some might be putting the cart before the horse
Problem of scale cannot be directly solved by blockchains.
Security/decentralization prerequisite for a blockchain-based IoT network.
Willi [[his water & sewage alias from 5 years ago).... you never cease to amaze people on this forum... first you insult everyone... then you expect to be taken seriously... really??
Then you post dumb shit on other people's threads... then you expect to be taken seriously... really??
Detroit CERTAINLY is not, and will not, be at the forefront of the 5G system
Really.......
Most folks don't have a fuckin' clue as to what 5G truly is,
what it takes to launch it within a city, or how it gets to their phone.
They don't read in depth, tech articles, and their posts show ignorance.
Yeah I call out the idiots, the dumb asses, and the ignorant.
There is a reason - investment and tech - avoid Detroit. It's toxic.

Detroit ranks 11th in net tech employment [[ and that is metro Detroit, not Detroit City)

If you're looking for an in-depth technical discussion of what you've read, you may have the wrong group for that. Maybe you would be happier on Reddit r/technology or stackexchange....

That's good, since Detroit/Warren/Ann Arbor ranks as the 12th biggest metro area in the US.
Will Detroit be left behind in 5G ?
Absolutely. We're doomed.
Yes, DOOMED! Less intense distraction in the classroom if we don't get 5G. The horrors indeed! Absolutely!

Now take it a bit further to understand getting it on a bus,
or anything that moves around, like a bike or a car.
Without antennas on everything, literally, you'll have no [[high speed) signal.
The fight will be , the where, the lease, and red tape of approvals.
You know what's might really blow your mind? Or maybe give you Sofite Syndrome? Reading Internet articles and cut-and-pasting or linking things you read does NOT make you intelligent. You aren't Good Will Hunting. And yes, my 13-year-old has more intelligent things to say about this than you do.Detroit CERTAINLY is not, and will not, be at the forefront of the 5G system

Funny thing about college and university - they use books - reading
YouTube is not a university degree in Engineering
that was back on post 112 ...........covered that already
I almost hate to bring this absurd thread back to the top, but just for those of you who might have given it some credence.
https://www.theverge.com/2019/7/31/2...overage-launch
Of course it will be years before it is fully rolled out, but we aren't really behind. If anything, we're a little ahead of most places.
I'd just like to point out that yes it's already launching in the Metro area and will soon hit downtown. But remember 5G is going to be one of the slowest roll outs and will only be in DENSE areas to start.
We already have some of the fastest internet in the world downtown as well. 400gig fiber for businesses and 10 gig for residents at only $300.
To say we are falling behind is stupid. We are already positioning ourselves as a Autonomous hub.
Well, we will need to check with O3H to make sure that is true! :PI'd just like to point out that yes it's already launching in the Metro area and will soon hit downtown. But remember 5G is going to be one of the slowest roll outs and will only be in DENSE areas to start.

.... just couldn't leave well enough alone... just had to open Pandora's Box for another peek, eh?
