After dominating the 1st half and then losing the lead on the hail Mary, who said the hell with this and decided to tank the 2nd half, the offence or defence? It's so hard to tell with this team.

After today's game, any person who spends one red cent on a Lions' ticket should have their ass kicked. The most sorry-assed franchise today.

well, one more game.. then there's always next year, best of luck.

I think they’re going to need a pretty big overhaul to be competitive next year. Not sure Matt Stafford is the guy to get them to the promised land - when he needs to win a big game [[there weren’t any this year) it doesn’t happen.

Stafford is definitely NOT the guy to lead this team. He makes too many mistakes at crucial times in the game. No excuses about the OC [[ Well, I take that back, JBC has been horrible) and OL either. They wasted 1st round picks, and signed FA's on the OL, and you would think they would have developed into a cohesive unit by now. Next year will be Stafford's 11th season, how much longer does it take for him to get it done, and win at least one playoff game?

The Lions have shut out the Packers 31-0 in Wisconsin. Finally the season is over for the Lions. Honestly this season was much of a disappointment even despite some great highlights.

It's a game. Why anyone pays good money to see these millionaire jocks have fun is beyond me. Go rake some leaves.

Never thought I would see the day, that the Cleveland Browns are now a better football team than the Detroit Lions.

It was slightly comforting yesterday to hear boos coming from both Green Bay and Minnesota fans. Green Bay has now lost 4 in a row to the Lions. That's a sign of moldy cheese. Minnesota invested quite a bit this year in the QB position, and their reward yesterday was barely a 100 yards passing....just broke my heart.

Chicago makes all kinds of mistakes on offense, but their defense is so good it doesn't seem to matter. We'll see how they fare against tougher teams in the playoffs.

Pick #8 in the 1st round. There should be the best defensive player available at some position there...CB, End, Tackle, LB....really doesn't matter, because we need them all.

so realistically, if the Lions don't make the playoffs next year, then who, if anyone, is at risk of being let go, from management to players? Seems like this cycle of "rebuilding" then... 'rebuilding again' has continued for.. many, many years now.

There will be no rebuild as long as the Ford's own this team. "Same as it ever was..."

Ha! Exactly! Goes for all sports. Your playing a GAME! And all the endless conversations about it that have no bearing on what’s gonna happen anyway!
Take your money to the casino! The odds are better than the Lions winning a Super Bowl!

Don't let Ray fool you. A year ago he was all excited to go see the Golden Knights play his "40 yr. passion", the Red Wings. Hockey players are millionaires too. And why talk about something because it has no bearing on what's going to happen? That's pretty strange reasoning.

Are you older than 10? The Lions invented win-less seasons.

Post SuperBowl musing... So did Matt Patricia's leaving hurt the Patriot's defense as much as his coming here hurt the Lion's W-L record?

Patriots are the Patriots the Lions are the Lions. Mentioning them in the same paragraph is close to blasphemy. They are everything the Lions aren’t.

Lions fans are like young puppies...constantly having their nose rubbed in their bad personal habits. Watching Van Noy lead his team in tackles this season, sack the quarterback on an important play, and he couldn't even get on the field for us. Stupid Lions probably tried to coach him to death when he was here and stole all his football instincts. Now we look for a linebacker....it's enough to make one puke. I guess it's a sign of sad progress that someone actually wanted one of our 2nd round picks. Not much different with Larry Warford. You wanted him, you drafted him, he played up to his potential for a 3rd rounder, you let him go for nothing, and then you over-paid for a has-been who took you nowhere. It's not Ebron's fault we made him the 10th pick, and then you let him go without any plan for replacing him. It's true you can't pay everyone, but you have to pay someone !

Wait until the Lions try to go ticket-less like the Tigers and Wings. Season ticket holders are gonna drop like flies during the first Fall freeze.

As soon as players leave here, they turn around they're careers. Van Noy, and Ebron were good examples. Warford is starting for the Saints. While you can say that for the players, former Lion HC's have never got hired to be head coaches anywhere else, that I can recall.

Ask yourself.....is the current Lions roster/talent better or worse since Quinn arrived?

Kyler Murray has picked football. This could possibly help the Lions if someone takes him ahead of them, basically moving them up a pick [[or if someone wants to trade for the Lions spot to get him). A's are SOL.
I was trying to remember the Kirk Gibson draft story. Did he quietly let the Tigers know he would play for them when MLB teams thought he was going to the NFL? I vaguely remember the St. Louis Cardinals were thinking of taking him ahead of the Tigers.

What the hell are the Lions doing? They sign all these players that USE to be Patriots. Trey Flowers, Danny Amendola, Justin Coleman. There is a reason the Pats let them walk, and the Lions scoop them up. Amendola hasn't been good since he left them, Miami just cut him him because he's not productive anymore, and is 34 yrs old. I don't understand it.

Maybe they think that Matt Patricia is the washed up Patriots football player whisperer or something. Got to hope Quinn knows WTF he’s doing - He does, doesn’t he?

AKA: Sloppy seconds.....the NE Lions concept will take years of unraveling when the new GM & HC head is announced.
