    Maybe you're right. What was Trump thinking? Unlike Omarosa, dogs are loyal.

    There are very good odds the next election will be Pence vs. whomever on the Dem side. In just a year and a half in the White House, he's already ensnared in an criminal investigation that makes Watergate look like nothing, and Mueller's endgame is clear.

    Trump probably won't finish his term. He'll resign, die, or be removed by Congress. If alive he'll end up in federal prison or an Alex Jones-style "media" recluse in his last years. His cultists won't abandon him, ever, though. They'll still think he's Orange Jesus long after he destroyed their childrens/grandchildrens future.

    Did you ever wonder what it would be like if the same leval of scrutiny was applied to the hilliary camp or the Obama camp or the bush camp?

    Check out where they are all at now,leading positions in healthcare,defense industry,Wall Street,high level banking,insurance industry and so on.

    Shocked that the same people that were in office kicking people out of houses,bailing out banks and making sweetheart deals across the board are the same ones heading up the same exact business that they helped in office.

    It is no secret and easily searched,anybody that is involved in politics is shady because there is money in it and lots of it.

    Money and power is not a newly formed anti Trump concept.

    So why all the oooo and ahhhh over something that has been going on for centuries and is common knowledge?

    China has technology and missle launch systems in space that could wipe us out and at this time there is not one thing we can do to stop it.

    Trump wants to put a system in place to stop that and everybody thinks it is a joke,how about walking out your front door and poof you are gone with no warning,just maybe you will be able to get a last laugh in.

    No, because they received far more scrutiny, and are basically clean, decent, noncorrupt folks, not lifelong grifters/con-artists like Trump.

    And whataboutism is for desperate Kremlin trolls, not rational people. None of these people are President.

    Response speaks volumes towards culpability. If Trump feels so aggrieved and slandered, his attitude should be tempered, showcasing a bit more 'altitude' and alot less ATTITUDE. Let the attorney's, Omarosa and her publisher duke it out in the muck, fray and media.

    The stupid name calling etc. does not help his defense and makes him seem as petty and he claims she is.

    Omarosa's not getting a glowing 'welcome parade' either. Many see her as an opportunist who was fine with Trump as it served her. Nothing surprising here, really - and while those who want Trump out may be happy, they're not running out to get that book.

    The news reports will suffice. Bye Felicia!

    It's all rather bi-partisan tiresome -- the unyielding self-serving nature of folks, withstanding claimed loyalties! Turning their backs, and or back-stabbing in the dark or broad daylight! It's a rather old story actually.

    Revoking security clearance without cause is a net loss of national security.

    I love irony !

    I find it ironic that America is concerned about China's willingness and desire to increase their military influence in a place called the 'South China Sea'. I mean gee...who saw that coming ?

    I find it ironic when I still hear Republicans complaining about the Clinton Foundation. Close to a 90% rating from any entity that matters, up-to-date tax information amended, and a rating consistently higher than the Red Cross. If only those pesky CPAs over-seeing the multi-billion dollar ledger could have stopped the family from financing that damn wedding !

    Is the IRS done with the President's tax returns yet ? It sure is taking a while. Perhaps the Mueller investigation is waiting on those returns too so they can properly finish their report. The President rarely lies or stretches the truth, so I'm sure everything is in order. He only hires the best people you know, and I'm sure that extends to accounting. I'm sure the accountants who worked for him are as capable as his attorneys of record. No concerns there !

    In other words, Trump isn’t — despite what 300-plus newspaper editorial boards would have us think — a root cause of American crisis. He is a symptom of preexisting conditions. This is important. Because if we delude ourselves into thinking that getting rid of Trump will fix what ails us, things will only get worse.Running down the list of what offends people about Trump, there is nothing here we haven’t seen before — and ignored when other presidents did them.

    ^ I think that is because the amount of plastic needed to create all of the participation trophies would have created a shortage and driven up costs for the other Chinese junk,that is cause and effect of schools teaching that everybody is a winner instead of sometimes we just do not get our way.

    Michael Cohen, Donald Trump's personal lawyer and "fixer" for over 20 years and former Executive Vice President for the Trump Organization, has just surrendered to the FBI. He has cut a plea deal with federal prosecutors and is set to appear in federal court today to plead GUILTY to multiple charges of bank fraud, tax fraud, and violating campaign finance laws.

    https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-ne...fbi/index.html

    I'm particularly eager to see what the details are on the campaign finance violations, since that most certainly will involve Trump directly as he reimbursed Cohen for the 130K [[now proven illegal) hush money payment to Stormy Daniels.

    Donald Trump's former Campaign Manager, Paul Manafort, GUILTY on eight felony counts. He faces up to 80 years in prison.

    https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...updates-790591

    LOL! Trump's former campaign manager AND his former longtime lawyer become convicted felons on the exact same day! "I only hire the best people" - Donald Trump

    Weird that Trump seemingly surrounds himself almost entirely with criminals. It's OK though, I'm sure Trump hasn't done anything wrong. Manafort and Cohen were just coffee boys, Trump barely even knew them...

    Oh shit, Michael Cohen tells the court that he broke campaign finance laws "at the direction of the candidate [Donald Trump]."

    http://thehill.com/homenews/administ...n-of-candidate

    This is now the first time that Donald Trump has been directly implicated in a crime. Get used to hearing the phrase "Un-indicted co-conspirator Donald Trump", because this is just getting started.

    Are you sure that you are not poping the champagne cork a little pre mature?

    With nobody commenting it is he said she said,the other one guilty on 2 counts of lying on a mortgage statement,which half of the country was doing back in 2006,and other charges that have nothing to do with Russian collusion and things that happened before the campaign.

    Wake me up when you get some facts of the original intent of the investigation and not just throwing peanut butter against the wall hoping something sticks.

    When Al Gore tried to litigate his way to victory, leaving the Country in paralysis awaiting a court outcome, I thought, "well this is Al Gore, not all Democrats are like that". I knew that not all Democrats flaunted Al Gore's version of noblesse oblige. Al Gore must have been the one off.

    I was wrong. Hillary's version of noblesse oblige included calling American workers "a basket of deplorables". That didn't impress. Democrats have picked it up since Al Gore and have become compliant vassals of the Deep State and fertile territory for neocons. Super hawk John McCain seems to be Democrats' favorite Republican. The hypocritical search for Russians behind every bush seems to have turned into taking down people around Trump for lies and other non-cooperation with Mueller himself a known liar [[Iceland). The MSM pumps out its narrative 24/7. John Brennan's head seems about to explode. If successful, this coup attempt will not sit well with 'deplorables' who had patiently waited out Obama the Twit's long eight years. I don't think the coup will cause a civil war. Nothing came of the polarization around the Vietnam War or dumping Nixon. [[Thank you Richard Nixon for ending Johnson's War and FDR's involuntary servitude requirement). But the confusion, acrimony, disunity, and lack of direction caused by this self-feeding might be interpreted as weakness by our enemies and as their opportunity to grab Taiwan, turn up the heat on Israel, and cause mischief in S. America. Hold on to your seats. Perhaps, that is ok or desired by Deep State elites. Maybe some opportunities can derive from crises for both our enemies and our Deep State elites and is considered a chance worth taking for power by Democrats. My take: The proper place to take down Trump, if that is the limited goal, is in the voting booth in 2020 rather than in expansive unending inquisitions.

    Mine is Susan Collins. For her integrity, and for votes like these:

    • Against repealing Obamacare [[she was one of only three republicans with the spine to stand up for her constituency, and the best interests of average Americans in general -- and yes McCain was one of the others);
    • Against the nomination of Scott Pruitt;
    • Against the nomination of Betsy DeVos;
    • Against Trump's immigration proposal in favor of a much saner bi-partisan proposal;
    • Against repealing protections to limit excessive pollution and waste by power companies;
    • Against repealing protections for our streams and waterways;
    • In support of women's rights [[there have been many examples of this over the years, even though if she votes as expected to confirm Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, her efforts will likely be reversed by his deciding votes);
    • In support of net neutrality [[sometimes -- she has a very mixed record on this).

    But she still provides many reasons to disagree, like these votes:

    • In favor of Trump's tax give away to corporations and the rich at the expense of our deficit and our children's future;
    • In favor of reauthorizing the Orwellian warrantless wiretapping surveillance overreach;
    • In favor of permitting drug testing of recipients of unemployment benefits;
    • To repeal a regulation that prevented internet service providers from selling our data about what sites we visit [[they know everything) without our consent;
    • To repeal consumer protections against predatory practices related to auto loans;
    • To repeal consumer protections against mandatory arbitration clauses;
    • To repeal worker protections that required employers to disclose certain work-related injuries and illnesses;
    • To repeal protections for vulnerable children that helped identify failing schools.

    Those are some highlights and lowlights from her last congressional year.

    Like you and many others have said, John McCain never saw an opportunity for war he didn't want to pursue. I've disagreed strongly with him about those, and many other issues. I disagree with Susan Collins on policy less often [[if still often).

    But in comparison with the shamelessly corrupt, crass, and incompetent Trump administration plunging our country down the toilet, and almost all the rest of the republicans in congress who support or enable him, both John McCain* and Susan Collins stand out for their integrity.

    Like most politicians, they often put the political interests of their party, their donors, and their reelection ahead of those of country and the rest of us. But they to do it less. And they never stooped to the depths of impropriety that have been normalized by the Trump shitshow, and so many among the rest of them.

    That's why so many are mourning John McCain's passing and celebrating him now.

    *The Keating 5 Savings and Loan scandal notwithstanding.

    Susan Collins voted for the beyond-idiotic tax changes and has refused to criticize Trump. She's garbage.

    I get that she had been a consistent, moderate, collaborative voice of reason but when you hitch your fortunes to a Russian agent in the White House, you lose all respect. History will judge her as one who enabled Trump.
