The idiotizing box [[most TV) and Kardasians et al will keep many salved and tamed as their rights slip away!

A-hah! Seeking approval will only get you that. There's more at stake, beyond winning the argument or the beer. But a beer sounds good about now. Hah! What will this country be in a few years?

    Babylon the great coming!

Mueller's finally got a break. He's looking into reports from an unknown source that Trump has an unpaid parking fine and a long over due library book about Russia.

Nice try. Everybody knows Trump doesn't drive, or read for that matter.

I think Justin and his wife Sophie are aiming to make Canadian film studios into Bollywood North before Chump decides to add a tax on foreign produced Hollywood flix.

Yes, to answer your question, his antics are pretty funny.

No, right now I think he's looking into the finances of the Trump Organization. Trump seems like a very ethical man though, so I'm sure all his past financial dealings have been above board and there's nothing for Mueller to find.

Well I'm glad Mueller will be able to be find something.
He hasn't noticed that the Russian collusion thing keeps coming back to the Hillary, the DNC and the FBI.
He has to have something to find after spending millions on an investigation. How bout a green dress?

I am not sure why you constantly berating him,he signed off on and gave US taxpayer dollars so you could build a pipeline through our country in order to sell the oil to China, while the US taxpayer gets nothing in return.

Well okay, you are right he is a chump on that aspect.

We used to call that, biting the hand that feeds you.

Notice how you did not want the Chinese in your own ports.

Chump doesn't feed me. The Mexican field hand in California or Florida or Quebec to the trucker have more to do with that than he ever will, thank you. Please don't equate Chump with many of the former Presidents and political luminaries your country has produced over the centuries. I may not agree with a lot of what has gone on ion the US, but that doesn't mean I berate your country on behalf of the current leader, or vice versa.

Chump wants a longer term. A lifetime achievement mandate like the Chinese President is about to get.

Plenty of stuff in the news. New tariffs on steel and aluminum. No preferential treatment fo Canada generally speaking but in specific terms, we'll have to see what Chump has in mind. Mind is used as an evocative term in this case.

The U.S. and Canada have a superb auto trade deal. No tariffs are applied as long as long as auto related trade is of equal value. This allows one auto plant making one model car to be placed in Canada and another making a different model to be in the U.S. preventing costly duplication of facilities. If that sort of trade deal could be applied between nations generally allowing flexibility for nations to maintain certain production for defense and other needs, and only the difference in trade were subject to tax between two nations, a lot of free [[and fair) trade could take place. One problem the U.S. has is a legacy of trading agreements written, in effect, by corporations that benefit by importing products at the expense of U.S. workers and taxpayers who have to support unemployed workers on unemployment or welfare.

The term "Liberal" used to mean someone who thought the power of the government should be kept in check. This was back when Liberalism meant that the crown shouldn't have all the wealth and power to itself, and that maybe people should have some guaranteed rights.

Then after a few decades in power, the old liberals became the new liberals, who thought that there probably shouldn't be checks on government power, and personal rights were fungible. Nobody saw that one coming

^^^ Good points. Liberalism has for certain changed greatly over the last two generations, incorporating aspects of far left ideology with a good helping of social marxism.

Hi JBMcB and Thanx for the explanation. I read the article, and my humor [[or lack thereof) was aimed @ the second sentence of the second paragraph: "Before I begin, I just want to make a couple of things clear. My political leanings would make me either a classical liberal, or...." Did he mean to write "a classic liberal" and this is just a typo?

    Then there is this

A 2014 poll by Reason-Rupe, a libertarian think tank, discovered that 58 percent of those aged 18 to 24 have a favorable view of socialism, while just 56 percent of that age group said the same about capitalism. In comparison, just 23 percent of those between the age of 55 and 64 look favorably upon socialism.

    https://www.google.com/amp/amp.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/national/article182765121.html

imagine 20 years down the road when they are more political and pushes that agenda, and they wonder why we want to keep our guns.

This ignorance among millennials isn’t surprising, as a 2016 CBS/New York Times survey found that only 16 percent of millennials could accurately define what socialism is. The VOC survey also found that 23 percent of those between the ages of 21-29 said Joseph Stalin was a “hero.” As leader of the Soviet Union, Stalin.

    http://thefederalist.com/2017/11/01/study-nearly-half-millennials-prefer-socialism-capitalism/

But yet they are screaming from the mountaintop Trump colluded with the very people that they cherish.

I think that they should change the voting age to 55.

Google is facing multiple lawsuits, they fired a manager who stated that conservatives were being discriminated against in the hiring process, whites are sueing because preferences are given to sexual gender preference and the women are suing because they are being discriminated against.

I guess the worst would be a white, straight female whose odds of being hired would not be in their favor.

Pretty much every race and sexual gender is suing.

How about if I find, copy, and paste four miles of someone else's jokes? That way I'll come off as a learn-ed intellectual comic, and give everyone the impression I've made the world a better place.

Well it's been ALMOST a full week since the last major resignation, so I guess we were overdue.

Trump's Chief Economic Adviser and Chair of the National Economic Council, Gary Cohn, is quitting the White House.

    https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/06/polit...ffs/index.html

Hey, the White House isn't a dumpster fire of chaos though, this is all normal. Just normal, healthy turnover.

Now taking bets on who will quit next week.

Top White House officials be like:
