Jane Fonda was a traitor because she went on a humanitarian mission to a POW camp that held US officer flight crews, the flight crews were told of her visit and wrote their SS numbers on little pieces of paper to hand to her during the visit so their families back home would know they were still alive.

When she went to meet them she started calling them baby killers and they deserved what they were getting, they thought she was playing to the commander and when she shook their hands they palmed the SS numbers into her hand.

At the end of the meeting she gave the SS numbers to the camp commander who then tortured and killed 1/2 of the group to teach them a lesson.

She may be your hero but in my book she is a POS and a traitor and should have been hung years ago.

    Satisfied?
No, Deloitte compared with the US corporate tax rate with other nations corporate tax rates. Deloitte did not compare U. S. "average effective corporate tax rates" with general tax rates of other countries. You are mixing two categories but maybe you could find a comparison of "average effective corporate tax rates" instead of mixing categories.

I would take it back a step further. Lyndon Johnson heavily involved the US in an unpopular undeclared war that led to 60,000 American deaths. That's worse than anything Jane Fonda did. Subsequent presidents have involved us in Somalia, bombed Serbia, waged war in Iraq, overthrown the government of Libya, kept troops in Afghanistan long after our objectives were achieved, and have been attempting to overthrow Syria. It is ironic that Jane Fonda, who visited North Vietnam during the hostilities, endorsed Obama for President. Obama went on to topple Libya by executive order and attempted to overthrow Syria and was the first Nobel Peace Prize winner to bomb seven countries. She went from opposing US imperialism to supporting US imperialism.

Well the latest person through the revolving door of Trump's dysfunctional White House is Communications Director Hope Hicks, who yesterday announced her resignation.

    http://time.com/5180078/hope-hicks-resigning/

It's not known exactly why she resigned, although take your pick from the probable list of reasons [[none of them good):

-She is the girlfriend of Rob Porter, the disgraced now-ex Executive Secretary to the President, who lost his job in the White House after it was discovered that he had a penchant for beating on women and couldn't get a security clearance.
-She has been interviewed in the past by Robert Mueller's team as part of its investigation
-She testified before Congress this week as part of the Russia probe, where she refused to answer most questions and in which she did admit that she tells lies to placate Trump [[although not about the Russian investigation). This admission reportedly greatly displeased Trump, who berated her for admitting publicly that she lies on behalf of Trump.

She was the FOURTH person to hold that high-ranking job who has quit or been fired [[five if you count Sean Spicer, who served as Acting Communications Director on two different occasions before resigning). Her distinguished predecessors include:

-Jason Miller [[resigned after it was discovered he was cheating on his wife with another Trump staffer and got his mistress pregnant)
    -Michael Dubke
-Anthony “the Mooch” Scaramucci [[fired by John Kelly after making obscene and critical comments about other members of the Administration to the press)

Average length of service for a Trump Communications Director: 88 days.

Anyways, best of luck to Communications Director #5, you're going to need it.

Back in 2014 when the previous administration had a high turnover huff post reported that Clinton and Bush both said it was quite normal.

    https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/5482191

For President Barack Obama, 2014 has been a year of goodbyes at the White House.

Kinda hard to understand why somebody in an acting position steps down, who would have thought, being the whole acting part is so permanent.

Back in 2014, oh you mean six years into Obama's Presidency? Trump has been President for a year. Obama had a total of four Communications Director over his entire 8 year span as President. Trump will now be going on number five, after just 13 months as President.

Any way you slice it, the turnover rate in Trump's White House is unprecedented [[or "unpresidented" as Trump likes to tweet). Richard's comparison is bullshit because it compares Obama at year six to Trump at year two. If you want to make an accurate comparison, compare the turnover rate of Trump's first year to Obama's first year. The turnover rate in Trump's first year in the White House was TRIPLE that of Obama's first year in office. Triple.

Now taking bets on who the next victim will be. Word on the street is that the Kelly-Kushner feud is reaching a boiling point after John Kelly downgraded Jared Kushner's interim security clearance. Reportedly, Ivanka and Jared want Kelly fired. So I guess he's a good odds-on bet, but don't leave out AG Jeff Sessions, who Trump is once again attacking on Twitter even though he's Trump's hand-picked appointee.

Another good bet would be HUD Secretary Ben Carson, who's in some hot water currently after spending $31,000 of taxpayer money to buy a new table for his office, even though the law says that cabinet secretaries can spend no more than $5000 on furniture for themselves and any more than that requires Congressional approval.

Or perhaps EPA Director Scott Pruitt, who's been living large on the taxpayer dime, flying first-class across the country and taking private jets.

Much of Trump's cabinet is under the microscope for using taxpayer dollars to jet-set around the world, go on vacations, spruce up their offices with tables that cost $30,000, etc. This includes:

-Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke [[currently $200,000 over travel budget) who has extensively used taxpayer dollars to pay for private chartered flights. He's currently under an IG investigation for his luxurious travel habits.
    http://www.latimes.com/politics/wash...htmlstory.html

-Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin, who improperly accepted free tickets to Wimbledon and took his wife on a trip to Europe at taxpayer expense. An IG investigation concluded that both of these were improper. It also uncovered that his Chief of Staff had lied to the IG and doctored emails to cover it up, she promptly resigned after being caught.
    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...ort/374247002/

-HUD Secretary Ben Carson. Not only did he spend $31,000 on a dining room table set for his office, he also demoted his Chief Administrative Officer after she pointed out to him that he can't legally spend that much on office furniture. She's now suing HUD. Also HUD has been giving government contracts to a firm connected to Carson's son, so there's that too.

    http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-n...228-story.html

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt. He's been flying first-class on all of his trips, even though the law says that government employees much fly coach to save taxpayer money. Example, he took a $1600 first class flight from DC to NYC [[that's an hour and 20 minute flight), which was more the double the cost of the tickets for his two aides to fly coach on the same flight. I guess he didn't want to rub elbows with commoners for one hour. Pruitt has also been hiding his daily schedule, which is supposed to be public [[since he's, you know, a public servant and all).

The emails thing is especially hypocritical, given how we learned that over 130 White House staffers [[including Jared Kushner) did not have security clearances over one year into Trump's Presidency but still had access to classified info. And that people like Rob Porter and Jared Kushner had access to Top Secret information despite the fact that the FBI determined that they would never be eligible for TS clearance [[Porter for his history of domestic violence, Kushner due to his myriad of foreign business entanglements, so numerous that not even Jared himself can remember all of them to put on his SF-86 security clearance application).

Kushner, in fact, was so vulnerable to foreign influence that officials in at least FOUR countries [[Mexico, China, Israel, the United Arab Emirates) internally discussed ways to manipulate him to their own ends.

    https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/27/polit...uae/index.html

Officials from at least four countries have discussed ways they could use Jared Kushner's intricate business arrangements, lack of experience and financial woes to manipulate President Donald Trump's son-in-law and senior White House adviser, The Washington Post reported Tuesday.
I wonder if the people who were so deeply concerned about Hillary Clinton mishandling classified information six years ago even care about this. I doubt they do.

If they were up in arms about Hillary but are silent on how the Trump Administration lets everyone and anyone have access to classified info, then yes.

I would also point out the time that Trump blurted out classified intelligence to the Russian ambassador in the Oval Office. Anyone remember that? While so many here are laser-focused on Hillary's emails because *maybe* the Russians *could have* accessed them, Trump LITERALLY just gives classified information directly to the Russians.

Hey, I didn't say, endorse or deny that which you're referencing. Granted Trumps really diggin' in his heels deep in folly and over-promising, high-turn overs etc., but so did Obama overall [[and no, I'm not going spend the night diggin' up links detailing all of that). Nope.

I'm not engaging in an over-argumentative contest. Again, what I am speaking about is how we have a broad tendency to overlook the issues/ behaviors of one person/ group if we like/ endorse them. It's the way of it. Hardly surprising. I voted for neither Obama or Trump.
