Um, yeah. Good point. Many young people are not aware of this. PC anchored history classes often omit these 'details'. The easy-peasy narrative pushed is that these kinds of decisions must, and only come from the far right repubs is de rigueur standard.

More surprises to come when the far left get back in folks!

I'm so tired of the extremes................

Like that tree falling in the woods? Doubtful!

This is going to require deluxe damage control. If not by the POSTUS himself in response, then those about him!

Meh we now live in the age of social media where the news of the day lasts about 15 minutes in the minds of most Americans.

All he has to do is think of another off the cuff tweet come Monday and it will be in to the next.

With DACA hanging in there it is best to try and discredit him by any means necessary in order to say he is loseing his base support, gotta come up with something juicy.

Bezos gave 33 million to DACA dreamers for collage, piss on American dreamers they do not deserve a chance, presidential tweets are the least of the problems this country faces.

Amercians seem to care more about everybody else and what they think then their actual fellow Americans.

Yeah I get that... it's DACA, the dreamers, the priorities [[or lack thereof), the tweets, the comments. Joyful.

Report: Trump was cheating on Melania with porn stars just months after she gave birth to their son.

    https://www.theguardian.com/lifeands...k-generic-kind

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/wo...-a8164976.html

Yes yes, we know, "fake news." It's all fake. Which is why she signed a non-disclosure agreement at the behest of Donald Trump. Because most people sign NDAs to agree to not talk about things that never happened. And get paid $130,000 to not talk about something that never happened. And took and passed a lie detector test at the time she gave the interview.

The funny part is, if Trump had simply paid her off like he agreed to do, she wouldn't have talked to In Touch magazine and other media outlets back in 2011. Instead, to save a buck, Trump kept jerking her around and not paying her the hush money like he agreed to, so she went to the media.

But no worries, in Trump World, the story that the President cheated on his wife with porn stars will elicit a casual shrug from most people who have now become accustomed to Trump's bad behavior. Any other Administration, this would be a scandal of epic proportions but it just a regular news cycle for Trump and it will be replaced by whatever scandal hits tomorrow.

^ you do realize that the Guardian is considered the UK version of the national enquirer.

Maybe next week they will have a two headed sheep come forward that says Trump inappropriately fondled it 28.2 years ago.

^What happened to all the Russians from whom Facebook accepted $100,000 that won Trump the election? For two weeks, Democrats were wound up about a word Trump may have used in a private conversation with Democrats. Now the Democrats lead story is sex. Meanwhile, Americans are warming up to Trump's tax cut. After all, 80% will get a tax cut. Also, jobless claims have just gone down to their lowest level since 1973. Of course, Democrats would prefer getting back to Russia the always promising Russia narrative, sex, and Trump's choice of words.

That is because they have already burned out, racist, homophobic, anti Muslim,Russian collusion,Mexican hater, redneck hillbilly nazi lover etc.

Sex is kinda the only thing left, gotta have the flavor of the month with short attention spans, that is why he needs to throw out the occasional incendiary tweet,so people do not become complacent and bored.

Just think if all that energy was directed to mass transit, everybody would be riding around in their private street car.

Sex is the the current scandal-du-jour. A few weeks ago, I thought for sure that was all going to change with "cyclone bomb". Hard to believe people are posting and quoting tabloid-type publications as fact.

Yeah, 'cyclone bomb' used to be known as heavy winter storm! ------

This is not some "new" term; it's been around for a long time.
    [QUOTE]
Explosive cyclogenesis [[also referred to as a weather bomb, meteorological bomb, explosive development, bomb cyclone or bombogenesis) refers in a strict sense to a rapidly deepening extratropical cycloniclow-pressure area. In the 1940s and 1950s, meteorologists at the Bergen School of Meteorology began informally calling some storms that grew over the sea "bombs" because they developed with a great ferocity rarely seen over land. By the 1970s, the terms "explosive cyclogenesis" and even "meteorological bombs" were being used by MIT professor Fred Sanders [[building on work from the 1950s by Tor Bergeron), who brought the term into common usage in a 1980 article in the Monthly Weather Review

jcole, I don't doubt your research and facts are correct, but I'm going to go Oliver North here with "I'm not saying cyclone bomb didn't exist before 12-17, what I'm saying is I never heard of cyclone bomb before 12-17". I was pretty much spoon-fed television for most of my life, including local and national news and weather, @ 6 and 11. I don't ever recall hearing the term. Even a coworker, also up in age, asked me if that's the latest "thing". All of a sudden, like a pack of excited chimpanzees, every weather service was shrieking it from the treetops. Now, silence. I guess we'll have to wait until we get bombed again.

A lawyer for President Donald Trump arranged a $130,000 payment to a former adult-film star a month before the 2016 election as part of an agreement that precluded her from publicly discussing an alleged sexual encounter with Mr. Trump, according to people familiar with the matter.

Yep makes sense to me,they got 30 people together in a room and said, hey,we are going to pay this girl 130,000 okay.

Considering what allegedly was at stake I would think there would have been 3 people and 3 people only that would have known about it.

Of course if it was in the other ones camp Stormy would have been the subject of a armed robbery gone bad.

He is a billionaire, one phone call and he could have a room full of knock out women with secrecy guaranteed, one way or another,no need to be chasing washed up porn stars around a room, let alone paying 130k to keep quiet.

MIB - What is the last thing that goes through a bugs mind when it hits the windshield?

    First it was the newspaper
Then the newspaper and 3 news networks on tv.
Then 100 news networks on cable tv.
Now you can rattle the world with a phone the size of a pack of cigarettes, and twitter.

And they said technology would make our life easier,I blame fake news on the milianials, they were pissed because of the lack of job opportunities and technology was the getting even.

On the way home from work yesterday, I caught the interview with the "reporter" that "broke the story", on NPR. I must say, it was mediocre @ best. Even the reporter sounded low-key and hesitant about it. Basically, a payment of $130K was made to a famous porn star by a Trump lawyer. The NPR woman reporter seemed to know a lot about the star's films. Almost like giving free plugs. In the interview, the reporter said both the star and Trump said nothing happened. So who knows? Did he have a tryst with her and this is hush money, or did the star see a chance to make a fast $130K by threatening to derail his election? Quite frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.

That whole thing was brought up during the campaign but ignored or brushed past in favor of the whole Russian collusion aspect.

I guess it was kept in the bottom of the barrel to be used after the stage was set, enter Harvey and all men are discusting perverts and look who their leader is.The opening credits had to be presented in order to set the stage.

Some seem to work really hard at not dealing with the real issues as the shut down proves, illeagles take presendent over fellow Amercians, and they make no qualms about where their loyalties lay.

The Guardian is not only one of the most respected newspapers in the UK, also Europe.

Maybe you confused it with Murdoch's The Sun?
    Or The Daily Mail?
