The Feds say it is illegal but the states legalized it in thier level,it is up to the individual states when it comes to their laws as to the employment of illegals.

Feds do a raid then arrest the employer it will go to court,which is time and money.

They do not want to get bogged down in state verses the federal government,in the cases of were an employer is charged,it is the state doing the charging under state laws.

It has nothing to do with Trump or whoever is president at the time.

The whole employment verification check provided by the feds is provided as a free tool if the states choose to use it,there is not federal law requiring its use.

As it stands the whole employment verification check is just a tool providing the business owner an out,if the state requires its use it is just entering numbers into a system that spits out a red light or green light,the buisness owner can just argue that they did was required and is not held responsible if somebody provided false information.

You have to prove the business owner personally knew the person was illegal,a large company where the owner is not directly involved in the face to face hiring makes it hard to prove.

Even worse if it a corporation,a corporation is an entity and not a person,so you can say corporation X is guilty of hiring illegals because they were there.

Fine the corporation a billion dollars,they declare bankruptcy then reopen the next day under a different name.
