David Pecker, CEO of the National Enquirer and personal friend of Donald Trump, has been given immunity by federal prosecutors in the Michael Cohen investigation:

Pecker will spill the beans to federal prosecutors about "catch and kill" payments to Karen McDougal and possibly other women on behalf of Donald Trump. Pecker is said to have a safe full of damaging information about Donald Trump obtained via Catch & Kill.


Manhattan District Attorney is investigating the Trump Organization and two of its senior executives for their possibly illegal role in the Stormy Daniels payoff. Criminal charges being considered.

Meanwhile, now that Michael Cohen has plead guilty, the Stormy Daniels civil suit will likely resume in the next few weeks [[the judge had previous put the case on hold pending the outcome of Michael Cohen's criminal investigation). Michael Avenatti has already signaled his intent to subpoena Donald Trump to answer questions under oath in a deposition. As you recall, the Supreme Court unanimously decided back in the Clinton days that sitting Presidents are NOT immune from being deposed in civil suits. And, as you might also recall, Republicans impeached Bill Clinton for the offense of perjuring himself under oath in a civil suit.

The next few months are going to be FUN!

I think you made the original mention of the Stormy Daniels story as one of noteworty substance that would come back to rear its ugly head. Good call.

As Mueller wades closer and closer to the deepest part of Trump's swamp, it's reassuring to know that a second front has been waged on Trump. We now have the Mueller investigation plucking apart Trump's campaign crimes, and we also have Mr. Avenatti pulling at the threads of his personal business empire as well. God only knows how much wrongdoing they'll find buried in that hot mess. Time to see if Rudy can earn his paycheck. #Popcorn
