The title of this thread is really misleading; it's made to sound like Miss Tlaib trashed her house with ridiculous parties and hell-raising and was evicted by the law rather than mildly protesting at a political event and being escorted out.

Oh my, what will that mean to all the right wing NRA zealots living in the D clutching their guns for dear life?! What a greater day for the other law abiding gun owners living here of another politic and partisan unyielding devotion? All jammed up, together. I guess!

My comment was not with respect to the efficacy of the policy.

My comment was pointing out that to say that "Hillary is going to get your guns" is plausible, if not completely accurate.

^^^ I hear you on that BG. I was only sarcastically pointing out that the gun grabber's usual NRA target [[pardon the pun) per the standard narrative, will also affect other law abiding gun owners. Particularly in Detroit. And yet some of us keeping championing the idea!

So we have bad manner being used against someone with bad manners. There is some justice in that.

We all agree that speech is OK.

Disruptive protest is OK, if the subject is 'vile' enough.

When is murder OK? There are anti-abortion advocates who murder. Their intent is to protect life. You may disagree, but how can you criticize if any means are acceptable, if you believe the cause is just?

I don't see that the right of free speech extends to disruption. That extinguishes the free speech rights of others.

I don't think people should interrupt Trump, but I don't really care if they do. He's a racist do-anything say-anything scumbag. He represents that absolutely worst the capitalism has to offer.

Keep in mind that these speeches that are being interrupted are ones where Trump is suggesting things like assassinating his opponent, banning people from the US due to their religious beliefs, and creating a nuclear arms race between Japan and North Korea.

Yeah, they shouldn't interrupt Trump, but you know what, **** Trump, he's a terrible human being.

I think there's a lot of stops on the slippery slope from disruptive protest to political murder.

As for free speech, an infinite number of protestors following Donald Trump is never going to extinguish his free speech, so long as they're private citizens and not government agents.
