A 17 year old carrying a concealed weapon and a willingness to use it on police is a highly dangerous individual not only for law enforcement but the kid's peers and the public at large. How could a judge even consider such a low bond for such a blatant disregard for human life if even only [[alleged)?

This is exactly the kind of behavior by the courts that makes a very strong argument for gun laws that are in existence now are not enforced.
