A number of signalized intersections along major thoroughfares in the city such as Fort Street feature large green street signs in a mixed-case font that's wider than the ones that used to be used on the smaller green signs until about 15 years back. And yes, these big signs were all erected by the city.

Most of these were initially used in conjunction with mast arms that were used to hang 8-inch traffic lights but ten years ago just about all of these were removed in favor of LED 12-inch lights hung from wires.

Question is, when did these signs start going up? I'm gonna guess about sometime between 1995 and 2000, but it may have been later or earlier. Also, did any of these intersections already have wire-hung signals when these signs went up?
