    I'm not sure about Detroit area thrifts but the ones in Denver use a heavy duty fumigation chemical on their stuff. My SIL likes to thrift out there and the smell of whatever they use will make your eyes water as soon as you walk in. I have to leave the store after about 5 minutes.
