Words I'm not allowed to say on this forum can't even express moving the Greektown part to the end of the name, as if it's deemphasizing even the neighborhood as a whole.
Change happens. Get over it.
We don't call places Bombay, Burma or the Soviet Union any more either.
Don't be so fixated on labels. It's not worth the stress or anxiety.
They renamed a building, they're not kicking puppies. I really don't care about having Greektown in the name, but changed it at least it should be good.

All I can see is a whole bunch of bad puns from the name. You won't win Jack shit at the Jack casino.
I got Hijacked at the jack casino.

Jack doesn't sound like a good name to me, but, then again, I still call it Burma.
The official name really rolls of the tongue, as if it were French:
Jack Detroit Casino Hotel Greektown
Not joking, that's the real name....
You money will be 'JACKED' if you go in there...... Appropriate name!!!

"Jack has plans for you, and everyone else in this town."
[[this is for real...not made up...it is the tagline in their video from the DetNews article link)

I always love a detroityes thread that turns into a big ol' roast.
Is it April 1st already?
Horrible name. Seriously, frigging horrific.
All of the news outlets are waiting for the first patron who loses their vehicle at a stoplight on the way home...pun-tastic headlines are being formed already.
Must have used the same focus group that said New Coke can't miss.
Will they rename the People Mover stop, "The Jack Off"?
