The later [[WWII buildings) Fort Wayne are where the induction center was. Some of these buildings are being restored.
I was going to enlist in 1968 and had a physical at the WWII buildings.
In 1971, I was drafted and the induction center had been moved to Gratiot.

Yes it was. They later moved the exams to a place on Clifford. However, that wasn't the original intent of Fort Wayne. Originally the Fort was built to protect Day-twa settlers against the blood-thirsty Canucks.....http://www.detroitnews.com/story/bus...ayne/24743635/
