"A spin-off of payroll management firm Automatic Data Processing plans to add more than 100 tech jobs in downtown Detroit.
CDK Global, which helps auto dealers and manufacturers improve their online marketing, has been enjoying a growth spurt at its location in the One Detroit Center building.
The company's Detroit unit started as a division of ADP Global Marketing about two years ago. In September 2014, Chicago-based CDK was spun out of ADP as its own publicly traded company on the NASDAQ.
CDK's business focus reflects a natural overlap of two of downtown Detroit's strengths: information technology and the auto industry.
Jessica Steinberg, director of employment brand and recruitment marketing for CDK, said the company has leased an additional floor of the One Detroit Center complex. Renovations are under way on the new space."

As much I like seeing companies relocate to the city, it's even better seeing companies picking Detroit as place to grow.
