Schocker I know.
Yet another reason to flee Michigan sooner rather than later if you're in that age range...
Sounds like a lazy generation who needs to learn to work harder.
I bet if welfare wasn't as high, we wouldn't have this problem.
Maybe a lot of them are aspiring young artists or entrepreneurs waiting for that first big break?
Use to be you could come right out of high school and work at one of the big three and make a damn good living. Iffin you call being a factory rat a good livin. Good money that's for sure.
Lazy generation? Naw...
This ain't the land of milk and honey no mo.
This.
It seems so many people forget this fact. Can't count the number of stories about how Grandpa went to the plant to get a job after he knocked Grandma up, in 10th grade. In today's world a bunch of college grads still can't support themselves, much less a family. People who aren't "college material" or don't have the financial means just don't have many viable options nowadays. When will we learn that we have sold a generation down the river with our desire to selfishly save a buck while shopping at Dollar General.
A lot of kids between 18-25 make peanuts and live at home and go to college.
