Wait! Am I to understand Detroit born actors J.K. Simmons, Max Wright, Seymour Cassel, and Curtis "Booger" Armstrong are unattractive?

Amateurs and haters, if you want to see the talent who the F goes to wallmart? A suggestion here would be go to the talent show dumbass. Check out Greektown on a Friday or Saturday night in the summer around midnight right around when all the clubs have like about a hundred in line and the cones are coming out on Monroe.... If you are male and heterosexual and have a pulse...your head will be on a swivel and you eyes will be trying to look in 6 directions at once including trying to look backward thru your skull because there will be so many hot, beautiful sexy women dressed to fucking kill going down the sidewalks hitting those clubs... Anyway I have travelled myself and yes south beach is way bigger for sure but good looking is good looking wherever you go. It's a stupid poll designed to pick on somewhere else.

And men used to wear jackets & ties. The dressing down thing has gone on unchecked for a few decades now. On the one hand I like that I can walk into most any restaurant in jeans and a t-shirt, but on the other hand I kind of miss the fact that women used to wear a skirt to dinner at a nice, casual restaurant.
i couldnt agree more, its embarrassing how badly people dress today, and so many out of shape people. You really notice it when you watch city street scenes in movies 20 years and older. We have really tanked. People who dress nicely, even decently for that matter still get more respect.I don't know about Detroit alone as the top of the heap of unattractive people. I have noticed over the years that the average american has been dressing worse and worse. Throw in dunlop disease and wide, extra wide fannies in sweats.
Cheese and Rice folks what's up with that?
Still think plenty of eye candy/male or female. Not bi either. Are we talking style or just looks. Go to church and on occasion, I go super casual as in jeans and a sweater. We have a retired pastor who attends our church too and I apologized once for being so not church dressed. she said, I look way better then some church attire she has seen. Point is go to church or temple or whatever and enjoy life.i couldnt agree more, its embarrassing how badly people dress today, and so many out of shape people. My husband always wear a suit tie etc for church, slim trim and always hot in my eyes.
This survey must have been conducted at one of the casinos. Srsly.
Hey! I just thought of something: maybe the copy editor got Detroit confused with Dubuque. I mean...C'MON! it's Travel + Leisure here, not Vogue or Cosmo.
What did the hard working people from Dubuque do to get deserved to be dragged into this stupid shit? Just a hate filled finger pointing contest.
Are you thinking of something like this?

Well if Detroit has the least attractive people... that that list MUST be true, right?
This list shows that Detroit is the 13th worst city to live in... and that the beautiful people in NYC, LA and Miami all live in worst places than Detroit... because this list says so!

Still getting a chuckle when I think of driving past Higgins Lake up north... seeing the sign... "6th Most Beautiful Lake in the World"....
Okay okay. Chill. In all fairness, they are not all that ugly. But having lived there a month, the town perpetually smells of burnt particle board [[someone said it's coming from some sort of crematorium...), and the high lead content along the Mississippi river has impaired a lot of the folks around there. I'm not even being derisive about it; this is just a strong observation I've kept in my heart for over seven years. You want a nice slice of Iowa, go to Iowa City, they got the culture, a good swimming team, and the high respect for literacy.
We have probably lost a lot of the attractive 25-35 age group to other more vibrant cities, but whenever I go out to the bars in downtown and midtown, the women are dressed really nicely and are pretty attractive. In fact, I was at the Union Street and Garden Bowl last night - the hipster chicks at the Garden Bowl were hot!
Thanks for the tip, I will check it out. Sunday night the whole down town was knee deep it it, what ever your preference is they were all there. Black, white, yellow, ginger, light, dark all you needed is game, it's all the difference. We have probably lost a lot of the attractive 25-35 age group to other more vibrant cities, but whenever I go out to the bars in downtown and midtown, the women are dressed really nicely and are pretty attractive. It's all sweetish to me...
Let's hope they aren't fed-up and "Finnish" with dating men.
Dan Gilbert hires pretty young things and he even pays them extra to live Downtown. Might as well - it beats Six Mile Road.
