You seem to think that I'm some self-styled "defender" of Birmingham. I just live here, I don't defend it or wear my address as a form of personal identity.

Birmingham is an absolute snooze, and full of pretentious old bores. I would probably die too if forced to move from Manhattan to Birmingham.
