Neil Rubin has a great article on Gregg Sutter, the late Elmore Leonard's long time researcher.

Gregg is an eastsider who still owns and uses his boyhood house near Balduck Park although his home is in Hollywood. He is also a longtime friend of mine who has regaled me with his adventures over the years and we have explored Detroit together. He indeed did have a dream job and the Rubin article only touches on a tiny amount of his other explorations and discoveries -- like finding the real Chili Palmer of "Get Shorty" fame.

He has a brilliant curious mind that let him discover the unique and has always kept him beyond the cutting edge. That includes the cyberworld and I owe my movement into computering and the web to him. He guided me through getting my first webpage online back in 1994, so by extension he is an ancestor to this forum.

I look forward to his memoir, "I'd Kill to Have Your Job".
