I still have one. Is it time to send it to the Henry Ford Museum?
^^^ Or Ebay -- you might be able to get a good price, if it mint condition. I still have a couple of cassette devices laying about.
When I was a kid we had a Victrola. Too big to fit in a pocket but the batteries never ran out. You had to wind it up. LOL!
The bad thing about Walkmans were when the batteries started going low, the tape play speed slowed down. It really would distort the sound of a song.
I still have a cassette player attached to my tuner and I still listen to cassettes on rare occasion.
I used to have a St. Clair river walleye rig that was an oak box with a victrola motor in it.When I was a kid we had a Victrola. Too big to fit in a pocket but the batteries never ran out. You had to wind it up. LOL!
You fed jig and line over your shoulder which wound the motor. When you had a fish on, you fed the line back into the box !
Re-use at it's best.
